Wake up body and mind with this energizing Sun Salutations yoga practice. These are my variations of the classic Surya Namaskar A, B, and C. We flow through each sequence 2 times, for a total of 6 salutations in 20 minutes. Eventually, you can memorize this simple routine and practice on your own anytime and anywhere.
How are these different from the traditional Sun Salutations A, B, and C?
- We take more time to get into poses and flow through the sequence
- We have more flexibility with the breathing pattern (not necessarily one breath per movement)
- We add a few poses such as twists and side stretches (these spinal movements are not included in the original versions)
- We allow for more options and modifications to suit different needs and levels of experience (for example, you don't have to "jump" or "float" back to chaturanga)

Thank you so much Maris. I have watched and practiced with your videos for the last year and a half. You have taught me that I don't need a gym, and that exercising doesn't need to be stressful or forceful. You are my favorite and only yoga teacher I use! Your voice is always calm and quiet, and I can see and feel that you are doing this to spread the joy of yoga, and not using it as a platform to spotlight yourself like so many others. I so very much appreciate everything you do for us, and the way you do it! I start every morning with one of your 20 minute videos, and it helps me to start my day in the calm and mindful way that is so important in my life. You help me more than you possibly could know! I usually do my you tube yoga with Sarah Beth! She did a flow with sun c in it the other day and I really enjoyed it. I wanted to do a video with sun a,B,and c so I typed it in the search and your video came up. Her sun c had dancer,airplane,flip dog,wild thing and fallen triangle. Yours was much different. I enjoyed your video!!! You’re a fantastic teacher😊❤

I really liked this flow Maris. I did it after a workout with weights so I admit to having to substitute plank waves for some of the full chaturangas. Upper body was on fire. Thanks for sharing your practice with us.

Yoga was awesome’ however I find that the voice didn’t match the movements? as you were faster speaking than the movement so by the time I look up to see what you saying you still talking and the difference poses didn’t match🙂 Other than that it was excellent workout🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

Point taken. It's a lot of work to film, edit, do voice-over, polish, upload, etc. I'm a one-woman show and I do my best but it's impossible to get everything absolutely right with over 200 videos. :) Thanks for practicing with me and offering your feedback. - Maris
