I have a whole rebuild kit for this engine if u want it. .030 over pistons.

I have a 4.7 rebuild kit if anyone wants it. Comes with everything $700 also have headers for it and a 2011 intake

how much would it cost for stuff like gaskets and connecting rods?

I reused the same connecting rods. Full overhaul gasket set was around $100

I would highly recommend NOT machining the block as they do not need it and most likely destroy the quench

Machine shops talk good game and normally talk you into work that doesn't need to be done

I agree. Though they just cleaned the block and honed the cylinders
