Did it on the left rear door of my 2002 Chrysler T&C (see youtube). I removed the lock assembly like you did, then noticed that all which secures the actuator to the lock bracket was that one torx screw, which you can unscrew thru that small hole in the door panel, then slide the actuator back. But, not much more work to remove the whole assembly and then you aren't flying blind. As you found, the green lever is for passenger's door (R) and red lever for driver's side (L). Strangely, my green lever had an "L" on it. BTW, 271K miles on our 2002 and the engine still has perfect compression, but don't tell that to all the people who claim Chrysler vehicles are unreliable.

Thanks for taking the time to show the removal of the Assembly. When I replaced the Left Actuator in our 2004 Grand Caravan, there was an access hole for easy removal of the Actuator's T15 screw without taking the assembly out. Not knowing the assemble removal is easy also with a T30 bit, I drilled an access hole in the door to get "see" the T15 Screw. Drill bit might have marred the "loop" that the pin travels in so I will be removing the Assembly for inspection. Also to all Automatic door owners. When the door is opened or closed manually there is a magnetic disc in the Power door moror that "disengages" the motor so that the door moves freely. I have found over time that the disc will keep the motor magnetically engaged and make the door difficult to move manually (feels like you are working against the stagnant motor). When I disassemble the motor and clean the disc it the manual operation works easy and "free". But this is often short-lived. Is there another way to clean the disc to have to keep for Sticking over time.

I'd be curious how anyone except a surgeon could drill the access hole and then unhook and rehook the connectors and tabs and little yellow dingus working blind with one hand inside a confined space.I'm definitely the lay it all out kind of fixer.Thanks for posting such a logical effective way to change the part.

Great video but do you also have instructions on how to get the sliding door working, as not only has mine jammed shut on lock but automatic opening door mechanism has gone too? On both sides :-(

Hey man great video. I’m having sort of the same issue going on same year an model caravan and it’s grandmas 😅 . Told me there key fob stopped working an they replaced the battery but still won’t unlock or lock doors and I noticed there left passenger door won’t open automatically and the right passenger struggled it’ll open a quarter of the way an stop in position . So I right away assumed for that issue it’s the door actuators. But for the key fob not unlocking car or locking I tried replacing IOD fuse an cleaning the grounds. After doing that it worked 4 times than stopped . Remove fuse do it again it’ll work then stops working completely . Any idea? Or would that be because the door actuators are bad and keeping the locks on locked position . Also the driver side switch on the inside to unlock an lock wouldn’t work either . Please help if u can. How did you open the door if it was locked? I've had to grab the lock with pliers and yank up with all my might. Also, did you undo the car battery before doing this?

Was it making a whirring noise when you pressed the button? I've just replaced the wiring and it makes this sound, followed by tick-tock noise. The door doesn't move.

I have the same issue with the passenger side. It's a manual door and it's stuck closed, can't unlock it to get it open. Do you have any tricks to get it open to work on it?

What about the rear door, I have a problem with it?

Need to learn how fo teach without missing information? You did not show what wcrews to remove to remove the locking mechanism. But at peast you showe how to put it back fom outside with door open.
