@BenzEvo….I’m glad my video help you out and thank you for taking the time to make a comment…..and you are correct about telling people to NOT go ordering parts without checking the fuse box.

And remember all interior electrical are control by the rear fuse box and the SAM computer that is under the fuse box. All the exterior electrical are control by the front fuse box such as air ride…wiper, esp, headlights and so on. The buttons that controls the esp is from the rear fuse box because the buttons are inside the car. Even your seats and radio are from the rear fuse box because it’s inside the vehicle. Hope this helps

@Bino……some times the new used fuse box you buy from eBay are defective. Watch my other video on how to open it and maybe you can swap out bad parts with parts. The part number should be same. Make sure both fuse box look identical where each fuse and relays go when you compare the two. Yes if the part number aren’t the same the fuse and wiring set up might not work. But I recommend opening the new one up and look inside it might be bad because my other subscriber had that exact problem with the new one he bought.

@Bino……the front fuse box controls your ESP so you are replacing the correct fuse box. The part number is important since some model have more options like 4 Matic and cameras while others don’t so the fuse box have more slots.

@@homeluangaphay2801 Thanks a million I did everything you did and took it apart and the two prongs were burned just enough to not let the relay terminal grab tight when installed so I was able to squeeze them together so they would be kissing and grab the relay tight when installed put everything back together and No more check engine light Thank you sir for making this video!

For my car I thought I needed to reprogram the seat since it didn’t come up on the display for me to control the seat settings but after I swap out the rear fuse box it fix the problem since the old fuse box was defective it didn’t send power to one of my ECU that controls the seat….. So after replacing the defective rear fuse box the new fuse box sent the ECU that controls the seat power making it work again. That was my case.

@@homeluangaphay2801 First off, I hope people appreciate your expertise and willingness to share otherwise privileged info that nobody at a dealership will share... I have an 09 S550, left rear strut doesn't hold pressure, right headlight out, fuel pump gauge always on empty, abs/esp light on with heavy steering ... all of these are controlled by the left SAM, like you said ... my only questions are #1 does the part number need to match, exactly, or can it be "ballparked"... #2 will I require programming, if so, is there an affordable scanner that you'd recommend to code/diagnose several makes and models, not just Mercedes .. thanks again for taking the time to answer so many requests, i know it's time consuming...

@Deals on Wheels if you look for another fuse box for the rear SAM (like my video) you need to match your existing one that you remove and compare it with the one off ebay to make sure it’s the same. Now once you remove the old one and install the new one you buy from eBay (or where ever) after that you DONT meed to get it reprogram. Unless your ECU is defective then your ECU will need to be replace. My video shows that when I replace the front SAM fuse box and the rear fuse box it solve a lot of the problems I was having with my car.

@kevinlfifer….let’s try the easy route first before replacing any parts. 1) remove the entire front fuse box and open that up to see the inside of the prongs. (559) 446-5180 you can text me if you need help . Watch my other videos on how to remove and opening up the box. It’s most likely the cause of your lifts among other issues you’re having.

@reneaharvey…….I can’t tell you the part number to my vehicle fuse box because every car is different meaning mine is a 2008 S550 4Matic with AMG sports package with options that your car may NOT have: In order for you to find out what your fuse box part number is would be to remove your existing fuse box….then look for the sticker that has the information on the sticker. If you cannot find that sticker or have a hard time finding it….then the next step is to take a photo of your existing fuse box and then compare the photo to the new or used fuse box you are shopping for. When you are shopping for the new fuse box compare your existing photo to the new one you are buying to make sure the fuse and relays look the same.

@@homeluangaphay2801 Thank you, I have a 2007 S550 and in 2019 the driver side front left air strut was down, I replaced the air compressor first and just in case replaced all 4 air struts (aftermarket ) in 2019 and all was well, but in 2021 vehicle was rising sign was showing but the car rose and was fine, the passenger side was getting lower in a day or two and the driver side was fine but when I started the engine all was going up and fine. I said maybe there is a leak so a mechanic I know replaced the air block, but the malfunction sign remained on and disappeared when the car was raised. Two days ago I saw the driver side air strut low and the passenger side also low but a little better. rear air struts are always fine, The sign is "vehicle is rising " and you can hear the air compressor running but it stops after 20 seconds and the "Stop the vehicle it is too low "sign pops up and stops.I tested the top of the air struts for leaks and nothing. I am wondering if this is a bad fuse box and I should replace it like you did in this video. Thank you Again !

@H S…….it sounds like one of your air height sensors maybe going bad. I don’t think it’s the fuse or relay that are causing it. If it’s the relay then your main pump to all air struts wouldn’t work. If your pump is pumping when you start the car then it’s something else. I had that problem back in 2011 and it was due to my height sensor that was telling the pump to raise or lower each wheels. The height sensors communicate with the ECU that controls the main pump and each sensor work independently for each shocks. @@homeluangaphay2801 Thank you, I got your number that's very kind of you . 4 days ago, when I sent you a message, the "malfunction" sign was on and after a while it changed to "stop the vehicle its too low". So, as I mentioned, the driver's side air strut was lower and the right passenger side was low though not as low as the left. Both rear struts were high but the right rear strut was higher. So I didn't do anything for 3 days and occasionally started the engine to see if it would go up, but it didn't, so I drove to Sam's Club, bought some water and drinks and put'em in the trunk and more like to the right side of the trunk and the left front strut went up a little. While driving back ,Suddenly I felt like the car was lower and when I stopped, I saw the left driver's side front strut was down and the left rear strut was way down as well but more like collapsed. So I went home and drove it slowly, so now the left front and left rear collapsed, but the right front and rear are fine. 1- Start engine > malfunction > Air compressor runs and stops immediately > Left front and left rear are down, right front and rear struts are up and steady.. so just like you said I suspected that height sensor could be the problem or the computer. I was thinking to jack up the right rear and see if that helps. Thank you again.

@H S……I had that same problem as you did 5 years ago. The wife drove our S550 to Walmart and she said “Babe what the heck is up with our car? The passenger side of the car is lower and the driver side is higher…..it felt like the car is lop sided and it’s bouncing like crazy!!!! The wife was all embarrassed and blamed me ( as always for buying her a defective car) luckily we had extended warranty and took it in….paid our $250 deductible and the found the problem which was 1) both the air height sensor on the front passenger and rear passenger were defective. The replace both and car worked great again. So this is my experience that I’m sharing with you, the living proof is if your other suspension air ride works while the others DONT it means the main pump is function while the individual air height sensors are defective.

@Eddie Sandoval….sorry for the late reply to your comment. To answer your question. NO I did NOT have to swap out the front SAM (computer). All I swap out was the front fuse box.

Sorry for the late reply....There was one guy who had the same luck as you. He bought a used FUSE box for the front and it ended up being in worst condition then the one in his car........After he installed the used unit he bought online his car wasnt getting any better. Then he decided to call me and I ask him to open it up just to see. And boy it was all bad. So you might be in the same boat as him. 559-290-9573 my number if you still need my help.

@Brian usually when that happens its when one of your relay that feeds the power to the unit that controls your steering/esp are starting to go bad. You won’t know exactly what causes it until you open up the front fuse box and check the prongs that connects to the relay(s). I made a video on how to open that fuse box up. I apologize for taking long to response. I’ll be here ti help if you need further assistance.

It’s either your speed sensors or your esp control module that needs to be rebuilt

@corecdr….sorry I’ve been busy working. No I don’t have the number for the SAM because the SAM is co sided the computer that is attach to the fuse box. The SAM don’t usually go bad it’s the fuse box that goes bad. Try replacing your fuse box first.

I was asking about the part number to the fuse box that you bought. So I can order it. I see a lot online but none have the writing on them that you talk about.

@Brian…….when you say “module” I’m assuming you are referring to the ESP module correct? 50/50 chance that it could be the module but instead of replacing the module look and see which options are easier to start of with….meaning if you try to swap out the front fuse box like what I did first thar would be easier to access and compare to if you were to swap out the module look at the cost of the module and the location where you have to get to it. Then go from there. I hope that helps.

on diagnostics, it says errors, faulty or indirect signals from several units, and mainly it says about the CAN unit, I can send photos and video

@rossi 2208……that’s because the front fuse box is not getting the right connection causing the ECU that controls the ESP to NOT turn on. If you have a handy mechanic have him watch my video on how to remove the fuse box and then there’s another video that shows how to open up the box to check the internal connections. OBD2 won’t be able to detect what’s under the cover. You can call nor text me (559) 446-5180

Also your ESP are control by the relay with 5 prongs….I believe it is the middle front relay that are facing the front bumper that you will see when you open up the fuse cover. Your relay can be working fine but what’s under the cover that holds the 5 prongs is where the issue lays..:.

Maybe so but the SAM still need power supply from the fuse box.

The fuse box supply power to the SAM The SAM is the gateway that has many plugs which many of your ECU are connected to. With that being said if you were to disconnect any SAM from the fuse box it’s pointless like trying to turn on a flash light without batteries!!!!!!!

@CleanEmUpMobile Have you tried swapping out the front fuse box or open that up to see if the prongs that connects the relays and fuses are good? I made another video on how to open up the fuse box. Try one of those and get back to me and I’ll help you out. On my vehicle when I swap out the front fuse box and replace it thar solved my ESP issue along with other problems. The rear fuse box controls the command center and seats and radio.

Thanks for replying, found the issue, it's b'cos the previous owner replaced ABC control module instead of airmatic which i myself stupidly didn't realised until i towed it to workshop then professional spotted it was so wrong, now air shocks back to live....thanks man, your video pretty in detail👏 where by most people skipped hidden technical might turned out breaking parts, really crap 👎

@ucit….try swapping out the front and rear fuse box and see if that fix some of your problem. As far as your rear air bags pop those will need to be replace. How did the air bags popped anyways?

Burnt my unit last night swapped a relay for an auto zone relay and it burnt a nasty hole in my fuse box ordered the replacement from eBay last night going to swap based on the info you gave me wish me luck

@F.PHIRI…..I’m guessing you misspelled and meant to say your car is a S550 and NOT S350…….if your other windows are functional and not the other two it means it’s mechanical….meaning your buttons, your window motor or one of the fuse is burnt. I would do the following to troubleshoot it: 1) check the fuse first by looking at your manual. 2) open up the door panel and see if anything such as buttons are bad or connection are corroded. 3) check and see if the motor are making any noise when you press the button. Let me know if you need more help

@F.Phiri…..the fuse for your window should be located inside the vehicle. Check the fuse to your front driver left of your steering wheel as you open the driver door. There is a cover that you’ll need to open. Please check with your manual on where your window fuse are located. Then check your front passenger side on the right side of your glove compartment with the door open.

@hao ZH……the board you are referring to is the front fuse box under the engine hood right on the firewall of the driver side.

@tommyspacs61….the computer under the fuse box is call the SAM and that normally don’t go bad. The SAM won’t function if the fuse on top of it don’t send power to the SAM. Give what I did a try and let us know how it went.

@Ricardolglesias…..the model number of the part should match. But not the serial number because those are all different. Compare your old one to the new one you are looking for to make sure the new one have all the correct fuse and relays slots.

@keepin it real……try swapping out the front fuse box and the rear fuse box like on my videos. If you search my channel you should see all my videos on what I did. Your car may differ from mine but it’s possible that it’s having the same electrical issue.
