I chickened out doing this on my Yukon, paid a shop. I couldnt get old one off lying on ground, you made look easy on lift, I didnt think to bend it, duh....

Just ordered the lines to replace mine because of leaking. After watching your video, it could’ve also helped to loosen the bolts for the front diff to let it hang an inch or so on the bolts. I just completed the oil cooler lines and letting the front diff hang a bit was so much easier.. also remove the front driveshaft from the yoke and letting it rest on the sway bar helped a lot too. Will be doing this repair come spring time

@@wolleysegap9740 there is a very inexpensive plastic one floating around, i think i got with a line of some kind a while back. This tool came in a set for different sizes.

I mean considering an f150 weighs about 500 more pounds at the most on average probably

F150 no problem. If that is your main vehicle, I would put the truck in the garage, and set up the lift in the correct position, and mark the floor, before anchoring the lift down. I did that with my Tahoe. Think the pads are about 110" apart. Works for everything so far. Ford Rangers are tricky.

yo I know keep asking questions about Hunka Junkas like Honda, but do 8th gen Civic Si's have issues with burning oil, or is that just a normal consequence of V-TEC kicking in? I'm probably going to buy one on Monday. Supposedly they're bulletproof (minus the trans) but I'm super paranoid

Mine doesn't burn oil. Do oil changes every 3k miles, and uses less than 1/2 quart. Nothing is bullet proof either. If it's smoking, I would pass on it.

@@RustBeltAuto Honestly though, is $6000 way too much for a 2006 that has clear coat peel and 143k on the clock? This is the Bay Area so anything even remotely sporty has an extra $2000 tacked on by default. Average prices for clean examples are $7000-9000, most of which usually have higher mileage. Guy says it was primarily a commuter, but I don't believe anyone.
