I imagine the wires for the 4wd part on a 2wd truck would be for thw option e locker on a 2wd

Tony, in an unrelated area, I have a question. My 1998 Taurus SHO needs a camshaft synchronizer. I've looked everywhere, RockAuto, O'Riley's, Advance, local junkyards, nationwide junkyards online, etc. I've even thought maybe to have mine rebuilt, but not having any luck. Ford made 20K of these cars between 1996 and 1999. They have a 3.4L V8 engine, instead of a regular 3.0L. What would you do, to find this part? Finding one in a junkyard is very rare now a days.

I installed my controler, had Ford active it and my truck juat keeps saying no trailer, all the lights on trailer work, i even installed a new harness for plug receptial.

Oh wow, I didn't realize you need to go to Ford to program it. I was looking on Amazon for these controllers and the biggest complaint was that people couldn't get the controller to recognize the trailer they were hooking up. Maybe that was their issue, they had to go to Ford to program it. What do you think?

Did you ever find out the issue with the trailer brake working, but giving you the Trailer Disconnected? I’m having the same issue.
