Yea you ain’t lying but only reason I might do down pipe or Test pipe is because I wanna go stage 2

I don't think so? I did mine the same way, although I think I only got 1 resonator removed. Muffler shop guys told me that in a luxury car like this, the computers are sophisticated enough that it will adjust the car's performance within a pretty broad range. So, for most performance exhaust modififcations, you don't need to tune it at all.

On my Audi A4 B5 1.8T a tune first was the way to go if I wanted a increase in performance and not just sound..... Go to the forums and read for yourself, I only followed advice of people who had already been where I was trying to go.

YWMU No, if you remove the catalytic converter then yes you will get a check engine light. Resonators and a Muffler delete will not throw any codes.

Anything after the cat would not cause a CEL. On the down pipe which has a cat and the main cat after the down pipe matter for emissions. Anything with an O2 sensor on it will cause issues with a CEL. After those sensors it doesn’t matter. Resonators and mufflers only deal with sound. Hence the names referring to sound.
