This video save me thousands of dollars ... I had the same situation and this was driving me nuts, a friend told me it could be a fuse or the battery or the alternator ... After seeing this I remembered that my kids had thrown coins through the CD intake and then thought that maybe the copper was causing a short circuit so I took the radio out and that immediately fix the problem ... I cleaned the radio and put it back on and all is good now ... Thank you dude thank you 🙌

2015 Chrysler town and country same issues, after owning it over a cold winter I noticed it didn’t happen during the cold winter months.. figured it must be a connection where the metal contracted and made better connection when cold, and on hot days during warmer months, it was almost a daily occurrence, in fact, I’d have cold mornings where it ran perfect and warm afternoons it acted up… long story “short” I found the problem was mostly the battery terminal connections were loose! Tried tightening them and found the tightening mechanism not working properly, I ended up removing the end and clamping it down tighter then putting it back on and hammering it snug down around the top post. It did the glitch two more times since then, but each time you could see the warning lights shut off one by one quickly in a matter of seconds as if the system was figuring out there were really no issues with each function. No issues since 🤞🏼 😊

Thank you. This video helped me find and fix the problem on my caravan. My problem wasn't intermittent though, it was constant. Started happening shortly after an alternator failure. Disconnected and reconnected the plug behind the cluster and that was enough to fix it. There seems to be 2 plugs back there. I only had to mess around with the one closest to the driver side door. Someone else mentioned the connectors in the bottom of automatic sliding doors for the ones who have it. Didn't fix it for me, but still worth a shot since the connectors are so easily accessible.

I had one come in on friday same problem and I've heard of this problem many times on the groups owing a 2010 caravan. Your video refreshed my memory on how to attack com problems. Update: Hope this helps someone. I had similar problems before and I played around with the buttons on the steering wheel to get it to correct itself. It all started after I drove into some still water while it was raining. This time the van came on (DGC) everything worked but the dash lights, dome lights, horn, head/tail lights....radio worked, heat/ac too. So I decided to take battery cables off for about 10 minutes and it all came back on after I put the cables back on. I am in the midst of getting a pulley replaced because my belt will not give the correct slack without it, which causes the battery light indicator to come on. I thought the serpentine belt would be enough...but pulley needs to be replaced. I recently had the starter, alternator and battery replaced.

Now after the fact, would it have been possible to check for this 12v down in the kick panel at a connector if we knew which wires to look for? If there is a connector I am thinking to disconnect it, checking the door side, injecting power and ground to the door pins where needed and jumper the comm wires over to the disconnected chassis harness side, I think you may understand where I am going. Could this job be proven without tearing all the panels apart? Thank you for the case study, a very nice find, much appreciated.

I got this exact same problem starting today ! Same year too 2011 caravan and even had the no buS show up faintly on display ! Front wipers remain on and dash lights up like a Xmas tree. Before I saw this video I disconnected battery for half hour and reconnected and did nothing. I had the passenger front door window replaced a few days prior so not sure if they did something to the door module when they took it apart but problem started 2 days after that. I will try disconnecting wires where these modules are one by one and update if these solve the problem ! Quick update : same day as problem occurred in the morning now in the evening when to start and move it and the problem is gone ! So I’ll have to wait for the problem to come back to find the problem just like the video had to !

I have the same problem with my 2012 VW Routan (basically rebranded Chrysler) - All dash warning lights + wipers randomly come on while driving then go off after about 30 seconds so its hard to trace - the issue does not effect drivability and the only code stored is low trans fluid?

Thanks for the video! Sad that the engineers created something so complicated to run down the issue. A plastic module that in the cost of the Toal car is pennies on the dollar cost hours of Mechanic labor. With technology I hope they can create something that once you put it on the scan will tell you EXACTLY were the problem is so the auto owner doesn't have to pay hours of labor to find a $5 part that malfunctioned. Yet I am so thankful for the video it was very informative Seems to be a Chrysler, Dodge Jeep issue for sure.

Mine was the back passenger sliding door. When the doors open it’ll do this but when it’s shit it’s fine

Then what happens after you find module. What was replaced? My 2019 I just bought is doing this too dealer unplugged the module on driver side sliding door for van not to show those signs but I found it. What’s next?

If you have a Chrysler product with proximity sensors doing this, try disconnecting them (in the rear bumper). Salt in the northern area where we live corroded both of them, they are $700, leave them unplugged. They are are the size of a pack of cigarettes and will short the bus data.

I got rid of the code. No fooling with TIPM or wires. Not sure how i did it, but i let the car sit for at least 4 or 5 hours without messing with it. Then i sat in the drivers seat and turned it on. The radio started to light up and finally came back on...then went off...i turned the car off and put the key in accessory mode. Playing with the reset button on the steering wheel...i also pressed on the gas pedal....then i kept going back and forth with key in ignition without turning the car on. All the lights that were on the dash started clearing away. Then i turned the car on again..and all came back on....i repeated what i did before....then my windows were able to go up and down by me pressing on button...and my passenger back doors started to open by me pressing on it's buttons. We had a heavy rain here in Texas. And i went through some puddles. I believe that set off the sensors. When everything went back to normal...the DASH said DONE. Which meant no more error faults. Hope this helps someone. Btw a few days ago i did get a new alternator put in, i needed one and i needed a new battery as well. There was no way i was going to get a new TIPM or have wire work done. 5th generation DGC and CHRYSLER T&C are possessed.
