Күн бұрынIn this video I will be disassembling a 2014 ML 350 / 550 / 63 AMG LED Tail Light.
OEM Part Number: A166-906-35-01
The lens is not glued, it is welded to the housing as a single piece. The LEDs are welded/molded into place, they are not held in with screws.
The back of the light is open and it is not sealed/air tight.

so there's basically no way to replace the internals since the lens is weldet to the housing and not glued, right? or how could one remove/reseal it?

The best option is to use a very fine blade saw (Dremel?) then use a clear epoxy to reseal the lens back together. Trying to heat it up and melt the lens back together would most likely damage other parts of the light

is it possible to buy replacement light bars? or is it worthwhile to buy a new light module instead?

I do not believe that they are available. I've never looked for them and would assume that only whole lights are for sale

I either reuse or sell the working parts.
