I would have been impressed with this effort in a warm garage with a full height lift - but on a wet, wind swept driveway, lying on your back - Wow, respect!!

Nice work! For people looking to buy one, DMF and clutch will last maximum of 100K miles/ 160K km. Make sure it is done if not take 2K off the price or leave it.

I'm replacing the clutch on my 2012 Civic 1.6 i-DTEC and by the looks of it, it's the same gearbox and strip down as the 2.2. Excellent work.

Oh my god, I did not think this newer model civic would be even harder than my 2006 civic which was a nightmare to do for a DIY, this one was even much more complicated! It is actually very strange how Honda engineers designed the car so that you'd have to disassemble half the vehicle to get to the transmission!

I was thinking to buy same Honda, but fck this, this is one of the hardest clutch replacement I have seen, so much stuff to remove before changing clutch itself 😭. I mean I do all my stuff on my cars always myself, but I don’t want to replace a clutch on a Honda like this, if it wears out, so gonna search for another car 😂

@@WMCS exactly Kevin it’s another income earner all you have to do is when you do your normal video ( at the end of the video give 5 second or 10 seconds to tell people to look at the links in the description for all the tools You recommend and use). Because when ever someone is investing in tools they look for people in the trade using them daily and your an excellent example of a craftsman doing his job perfectly. And so people will trust your opinion and would be more likely to buy the product once you’ve reviewed it through your product link 🤙

I see they've done away with the LUK self adjusting chocolate pressure plate on the later 2.2 iDTEC compared to the iCTDi engine but WOW, subframe off! What a ballache of a job.

Exedy a bit more expensive. But worth it for that engine. I’ve never rated LUK for Far East cars.

@@WMCS and 40k miles later, my LUK clutch has started to slip YET AGAIN on my 06 2.2 iCTDi Civic. 4th gear up hill, it slips then starts to grip. That'll be the 4th clutch it's had in 220k miles and it lives it's life on the motorway!! Do you do South Yorkshire area? How much for an Exedy clutch change on my 2.2 if you do? The DMF doesn't need doing as that was done with the LUK clutch 40k miles ago.
