I'm in my early 30s my mother is in her late 50s and she just called me and told me that she accomplished this in her Nissan rogue with the assistance of this video. Granted she is technically inclined, she does IT for a living. It took her about an hour and a half... Thank you so much for being there for her when I couldn't. P.S. air condition is working great! ❤️🙏

I've had a heck of a time with this issue on my girlfriend's 2014 Rogue SV. Air stopped blowing completely right during this heat wave. Local mechanic saw ground power on the blower so assumed it was good and tried replacing the resistor which didn't fix the issue. Suggested taking it to the dealer as it might be an electrical issue between the control head and relay. Dealer charged $166 to diagnose and wanted another $565 to replace the blower motor. Got the part for $90, fixed it myself with help from your video and we have AC. Really appreciate this video! Also for anyone else with this issue I did have a bit of trouble getting the new motor to turn in so the screw hole would line up. I put just a bit of vasoline on the little plastic tabs on the motor casing and it turned right in.

Thank you for sharing this video. Couldnt of accomplished this task without it. Removing the old blower motor out of my daughters 14 Rogue was clockwise, but man that thing was stuck in there. The new one was a tight fit as well and I had to get creative to get it to rotate counter-cw enough to line up with the screw hole. Thank you again OP!

I understand the disclaimer to this video being entertainment, however, your video was a lifesaver for me. I went step by step and frame by frame and was successful in dismantling and reassembling, using the exact part you used. I’m a 58 yr old female who is mechanically inclined and enjoy repairing stuff but losing AC in GA during 99 plus degree temperatures still scared me; and the cost to put in the shop just wasn’t an option cuz although the part cost me $139, it woulda been triple that or more at a shop. Anyway, you were great, patient, professional and every step was explained. Thank you Thank You THANK YOU. God bless you in everything. Yay I have AC again !!

Excellent video. Just used it to replace my blower motor. Only thing that was not 100% compatible with my experience in my 2015 Rogue was: My passenger side dash vent did not come off as 2 pieces (the louver part, and the bezel part). Mine was pretty much locked together as one unit. The difference was during reinstall. The dash vent needed to go in almost last because the upper glove box frame, and the carbon fiber trim piece both need to go in BEFORE the dash vent and more specifically the trim ring , as they get retained by that trim ring.

Nice job on the video. Great insight. My 2018 had 'the fan not blowing' syndrome and I suspected either the blower motor or the blower motor resistor. Thanks to your video, I knew where the blower motor was located. I removed the glove box, reached in tapped the blower (as suggested in one of your replies) to see if it was motor brush related and the motor did not begin to spin. II still had a hunch that the culprit was the blower motor resistor and decided to eplace the blower motor resistor first and gave it a test. That's what it was but at least, thanks to your video, I know where to access the blower in case I need to in the future.

Did you have to remove the pedal assembly to change the resistor? I'm having a hard time finding a good video for that process but so far it seems more complicated than the blower motor itself.
@northtrader
@northtrader 2 жыл бұрын
@@xDeathrider yes. You do have to remove the pedal assembly. And, yes it's a bit of a hassle. Removing it wasn't too bad but one of the nuts was hard to access. Re-installing the pedal assembly was a royal pain in the gluteous maximus because the carpet needs to be compressed and the stud mounting plate 'sinks' into the firewall so it seems like the studs are too short, but they aren't. Compressing the carpet and not having the studs push into the firewall to start the nuts on the studs was the hard part about re-install of the pedal.

@@northtrader thanks for the reply. I may just try to replace the motor and cross my fingers that the resistor is fine, I'm getting no airflow whatsoever on any speed. Would love to save money but that sounds like a headache I'm not sure I want to deal with.

you are a gift from heaven to me! i have an issue i have nissan rogue 2017 in the winter the driver side blows a cold air and the passenger side blows hot air normaly my friends told me its a common issue in rogue and the reason is the blend door actuator i starts to repair it ,when i reach the blend actuator motor i saw the motor is working properly!!! but the gate (that gear with the motor) is in very bad condition and the motor cant turn it in order to fix it i have to remove the all the dashboard to replace the gate,(i hope you get my point) So when i saw your video you removed the dashboard from the passenger side is there any video explaining the removal of the dashboard from the driver side?? or vid explaing the solution of replacing the gate that gearing with the blend door actuator?? you will really help alot of peaple not just me because i will share your vid to my friends 😅

I couldn't say for certain, but we have a 2015 Rogue Select and the controls for the heat and air are dials rather than buttons. The blower motor, as well as the blower motor resistor, had to be accessed on the driver side and the gas pedal had to be removed to do it. There is something that blocks access to the blower motor if you try to access it from the passenger side - that was our experience.

Is it absolutely necessary to destroy the dash to get to the motor or can you pull it through the foot well cover?
@mrOnlinePolice
@mrOnlinePolice 2 жыл бұрын
Good question. I don't know if it's possible, but at the very least I would assume that you need to remove the glove box to at least see and as well reach to the wire connector, screw that holds the motor etc.

Hey, like I said great video, however I have reached a wall. I was able to get the motor out, but had a lot of trouble unclipping the plug to the motor. Did you squeeze both sides of it to make it come loose, or was it some other method?

I'm really hoping the blower motor can be accessed this way on my 2016 Rogue (the dash looks virtually identical). My significant other has a 2015 Rogue Select (the dash is different), and the gas pedal has to be removed and more, in order to access the blower motor and resistor. We ended up having a mechanic do it. Once the blower motor was replaced, for as much hassle as it was to get to it, the advice of other YTs was to replace the resistor as long as you have it all apart - and they're absolutely right. Do you know if you would have been able to replace the resistor with the access you had by removing what you did?

@@mrOnlinePolice You made a great video that was informative and to the point, which I greatly appreciate. Both were accessed from the driver side on the 2015 Rogue Select. For my 2016 Nissan Rogue, which is the one currently having an issue, I'm not certain whether the blower motor can be accessed by your method or if it is on the driver side. My dash looks almost identical to yours, so I'm guessing your method for the blower motor. All the videos I've seen indicated the resistor seems to be on the driver side no matter whether the blower motor is accessible on the passenger or the driver side. I'll be doing this on Saturday, so I guess I'll find out then.

I have a Rogue whose blower motor only works intermittently (with all speed settings) and I just replaced the blower motor to no avail. I have the blower resistor that I guess I will try next though I must say this is a weird problem and I'm not looking forward to ripping out the gas pedal assembly just to replace one little resistor only to have that not be the issue either. There must be a fuse or relay for the blower motor on these right? As of yet, I haven't found it.

As soon as I gave me motor a little touch, just enough for brushes to contact the rotor, it started working. So a good method to check would be to tap it with whatever, and see if it makes it run. Then you'd know if it is the motor at fault

I don't know. Because in my case, the strip piece that is above glove box tucks behind the radio as well as, I believe, the front panel cover. And to remove the radio, had to remove the start/stop button. I might be wrong. If you are going to do this, please let us know if it worked. We are all here to learn.
