Appreciate the video. I just did the job in about 2 hours start to finish. I had one of these fail about 1.5 years ago and decided to just replace all 3 this time. Solenoids were $30 each from rock auto. I ended up not taking the motor mount fully off (after struggling to get it past the AC lines). I accessed the front 2 from the bottom, and the rear 1 from the top, jacking the engine up and down as needed.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU!! for the instructions. I had the P0011 code and this seemed to fix it. The car was running really rough during low speeds and even stalling. Now my 180k mile rogue drives like its brand new. This video made me a lot more confident in doing this job although I had the misfortune of braking the bolt holding the exhaust solenoid when I was loosing it, but by the grace of God was able to slowly get it out and throw in a new one.😅😅. .

I was hesitant to do this work myself, I'm closing in on 65 years of age, and though I have done just about all one can do with regards to repairing cars, wasn't sure I wanted to tackle this. The video is great, but the parts seemed a bit buried but was surprised when I actually looked at where they were I thought, what the hell, I'll give it a go. It all went very smooth and had no problems. I did not have as long an extension available but found out I could reach the 10-mil bolt by removing the inner wheel well section that you have to remove to change the oil filter. That gave me enough room to use the 2 short extensions that I do own. Thanks for the vid, very helpful!

Thanks for this video I tried clearing the blockage with a wire, however, I guess i dislodged a seal somewhere and now the water is leaking from the pillar. I have no way to find out where this seal is and how to access it. I would suggest people to be very gentle when using the wire method to clear it. In my opinion, the other option to access and remove the filter under the wiper trims would be more safer.

How much was the kit?

Are you changing oil in the Spring? It should be changed in the Fall, otherwise the contaminated oil is left in over the Winter, damaging the internals of the engine.

I had p0014 code in my wifes 2015 rouge, so i changed the oil first and the problem persisted. When i checjed the code again, i had code 052b. Im wondering if i should change all 3. Im going to run an engine flush and change the oil again before i buy any solenoids.

I have a bad trans in my 02 acura cl 3.2l, and i was told i can only use the same trans out of a 01 or 02 cl or tl. Now that im reading these comments, im seeing you people are putting transes from accords and pilots. Who can tell me what transes i can put in this car? I dont really want to put the same trans from the same car in, if i can get an upgraded trans from a newer Honda or Acura. Mine went south with only 60k miles of light use on it, so makes no sense to put a junkyard trans of same type with possibly higher mileage.

I was waiting for the engine to come out and the wheels to come off.

I’m working on one with circuit codes for all three vvt solenoids has anyone ran into this, chaffed wiring? Vehicle has 50k miles on it. I found the wiring harness behind the valve cover on the intake side and near the throttle body was chaffed and shorting out on a bolt, which blew a 10 amp fuse in the integrated distribution module. All three vvt solenoids and the evap vent control solenoid share a circuit and all is fixed. I hope this will help someone in the future.

I replaced the blower motor and the resistor but still doesnt work..I checked to old blower motor of its working and its not working..what else could i do?

After trying this, about 1.5" of cable is stuck in the drain hole. Geez. I'm wanting this to work because my car floor is a puddle. Wish I could take my car apart! Is this the only drain on the car to clear?? I know this is the answer but I also wonder if there's another way water is getting in. My rear passenger floor IS also wet.

Put some Lucas in the transmission. Or at least do and drain and fill and put a new filter.

P0012 AND P052B CODES?

I have no code , I have a bank 1 monitor vvt fail. Is this what it could be ? It’s a 2015 Nissan Rogue. 77,000 miles.

Before I figured this issue out, Nissan Service said $360 for just a diagnostic. Once I figured out what it was, I called and they quoted $294 before taxes to unclog the drains. I said no thanks and did this myself. I couldn’t figure out how to remove the large plastic piece, but there are two rubber pieces on each side that I was able to remove from the plastic frame, and with a long stick I was able to unclog it. It was so satisfying to see water pouring out of it!

I have this same issue which recently became a nightmare!! It had rained, then a couple days later we had freezing temps. Like -10°f. The water had leaked down and got into the gear shifter, hence when i tried to put the car in D, the shifter was frozen!! Had to let my car run with the heat blasting for like 30 minutes to thaw it out! We're gonna try your suggestion. I'm tired of my headliner wet, inside my car wet & it had even made my floor boards wet!
