Yes I didn't do a real good selfie. I will have to show that one on another video. It says 3.14 over the symbol for pie and on the other side it has 41.3 written backwards with a piece of pie. I will make sure I get a better pic on another one.

Same motor and Manuel shifter. Mine wont shift back to neutral or revers after running it in first or second and so on. You think it might be my clutch?

Would this be similar to a 2015 honda foreman 500 with the electric shift ? I’m having an issue with it not shifting down electrical or mechanical just hard to find videos on tear down

Hopefully you can answer this question regarding a 2015 Foreman 500 TRX500FM2. I'm afraid my oil drain plug hole might be slightly stripped. It is not leaking and I really don't want to remove it in case it is stripped. I'm looking at just using an oil extraction pump. It doesn't look like the tube would get down to the drain plug easily, but I'm thinking if I jacked up the back end, the oil would flow forward enough that I could get most of it. Do you think that would work? Thanks in adavance.

Yes there are only a few smaller holes toward the bottom front of the crankcase. Your best bet would be to jack up the rear to get it to run forward and it should get most of it out. It's not hard to drill out and tap the new drain plug. I have had pretty good luck doing this and it is simple to access if you stand it up on the rear rack.

@@FourwheelerDoctor Thanks. I was hoping you would say that. I don't put many miles on it, maybe 150 - 200 per year, so I plan to only change the oil once per year.

@@FourwheelerDoctor Well I sucked the oil out yesterday with a pump. I backed it up my loading ramps and sucked it all out. Poured what came out from filter change and it all came to right at the full 3.2 qts that is supposed to come out. Worked great!

if I take the camshaft out with the top end still on will the cam followers fall down in the engine...I am changing the cam and engine is still in the bike....because I started pulling the cam and 1 of the followers fell down inside

Yes they will fall. You can pull the rocker arms off and the push rods and use two magnets to hold the followers up to slide the cam out. That's about the only way to do it and keep the cylinder and head on

The electrical plug is a coolant temperature sensor.

Is there different size fly wheel pullers for atv or are they all the same?

They're different ones but most of the Hondas use the same puller

Pulling the flywheel besides a puller is there another way to remove it

Not really. You can't get behind it with a jaw puller and they are normally on there pretty tight. It uses a fine thread for the puller and it is an odd size to find a bolt that would fit it.

I rebuild my top end all oem , broke it in changed oil and replaced oil pump , cam chain and clutches . Motor sounded brand new , my buddy rode it at bogs yesterday and started smoking like a mosquito sprayer and sometimes it wouldn't start like it was hydro locked . Remove the spark plug and turn it over then back in it would pop off . I have the motor pulled and I believe its tye bottom end . What do I look for ? And what's the best replacement parts ? Thanks

Is the oil still clear in it? Most of the time if one starts smoking pretty quick the bottom end is dirty on the bike. It needs to be taken completely apart and cleaned out to keep the contaminants from circulating through the oil. Most of the time that happens from either filling the airbox full of water/ mud or a output shaft seal leaking. Usually just use OEM stuff for internal motor parts.

oil looks good but filter had dark metal like grit in it and the wrist pin has alot of play on connecting rod . The wrist pin has maybe 1 1/2 hrs on it . It was replace with top end rebuild , alot of side to side movement on the rod at the crank

@@NorthFloridaOutdoorsman the side to side movement on the crank doesn't matter but it can't have any movement up or down. I about bet the bottom end has mud in it and it circulated through the motor considering the amount of time that it was run after the rebuild. Your case will probably need to be split and cleaned out.

The cylinder looks perfect, so maybe just clean it and new rings , change anything that I find that looks worn if needed .

How much does it cost to get the top and bottom end done?

I've done them as cheap as $1,000 and as much as $2,000. Really according on how much you have to replace in the motor. Like clutches cam chains one way bearings oil pumps things like that add up

Would you rather him be at home playing video games or in the shop messing with me? If little man wants to come in the shop I'm sure not going to tell him no. Have kids one day you'll understand.
