Had to come back to this video after a few years. Timing chain got bound up and stuck, needed a little info for replacing the cam. Got what I needed. Great video ! Much obliged.

Tearing into my 2001 now, the timing chain came off, trying to decide if I just replace the chain or do a top end while I got it apart, the liner looks real good so might just re ring it.

used this video to pull apart a 2002 Ruby 500 because it didnt seems to have adequate oil pressure to the rocker arms and cam. cleaned all the case sealer off , blew out all the oil galleys, new Honda oil pump installed an all new ORing seals on every place the cases pushed oil thru. cleaned all the pick up screens in the motor. Cheack pressure relief valve, spring and free as a bird. Have 50 psi at Idle when it should be 22 @ 1400 rpm. No Idea why. Didnt split oil housing. and what about the crazy oil filter bolt assembly? could that be an issue. The pump has 3 rotor assemblies so i assume one is specifically for the cam and rockers, one for lower end and one for Honda matic. at my wits end

Hello, we found about a teaspoon of brass looking shavings in the engine, what all components have a brass look? We know the clutch Looks like a brass. Problem is it makes a very loud grinding noise. Still will run and drive. Thanks

I have to pull the front case to replace the timing chain. In the vid it looked like a shaft went all the way through to the back case? So do I need to pull the back case apart before removing the front case? I’m trying to leave the engine in the frame. Thanks for any info

I just want to say. This is a awesome video. I wish I had a quarter of the knowledge you have on this stuff. But I’m sure you get a thousand questions but I gotta ask you this. I have a 2004 foreman rubicon, it does not move. It starts great and runs great but just won’t move in any gear. Forward or reverse. And the display doesn’t have the - - it shows the normal N, D, 12345, R. And suggestion

Mid Nebraska Motorsports the dash only shows neutral when I start it and I can put it in drive and the dash read “D”, if I swap modes the dash will say 1,2,3,4,5. Depending on which gear I shift it too.

But I did finally take the clutch cover off and found the oil pump chain off. I got a new one but haven’t put it on yet. Maybe that was my problem

Thank you for this video great job! I have a 2003 Honda Rubicon 500 4x4 it goes great until after it warms up then it just grinds and won’t go into gear any ideas what might be causing this issue? When cold it shift thought all gears in auto and when I use the up and down gear selector. Any help is greatly appreciated

BTW Your videos are the best on KZfaq by far. Your the only one that can speak clearly and has great lighting so we can see probably how to fix things right the first time. 🤘 Rock on brother!
