It’s been more than six months since the famous Suzuki Vitara badge returned to Australia. Over that time, this boxy little crossover has cemented itself as Suzuki’s top-selling model here after the Swift.
But while the Vitara hasn’t been on sale all that long, a major improvement has already been introduced. The addition of a new turbo engine option at the top of the range.
Does this make the already well-liked Vitara an even more appealing bet in the crowded city SUV market? Let’s take a quick look.

What a beautiful looking car, I love it! Similar dimensions to a hatch but as its taller, it looks bigger than one at first glance. Great small SUV and as someone who prefers driving smaller cars, it definitely has my interest!

Those wheels look like a miniature version of SSV commodore forged alloys. I saw a guy driving the Vitara Turbo the other day and he acted like he's in a fully sick sports car. No kidding.

Defo - 2 reasons NOT to buy an Evoque 1 apparently waste of space Victoria Beckham designed it 2 you can get this car for half the price

Australia seems to get different spec versions it isnt just a Suzuki thing. e.g. Hyundai Tucson in Australia gets larger petrol engines than europe is offered

Test drove the Suzuki Vitara Allgrip S 1.4 Boosterjet engine today, what a refined mini-suv! The auto transmission on the 1.4 Boosterjet engine is blissful. My question for any owners out there is can you turn the radar breaking technology off, I've heard about this gimmicking about and it concerns me a little as I'm tempted to purchase. Cheers!

Hi ktmad. Yes it can be turned off. You press and hold the button for a second or so and it switches the system off completely. Or rather than turn it off theres another button that changes the radar detection range to nearer your vehicle so it won't start complaining until until potential contact is almost on top of you. It will reset itself when you turn the car off though. SO its something you'll need to do every time you start her up.

it's been ruined, vitara used to mean something when it came to off roading, all it is is just another peace of crap that the once legendary name has been stolen from, RIP vitara we will all miss you.
