I use this same model as a graphic designer, and it's amazing for editing on the go. I have a powerful desktop PC, but this honestly matches it in many Adobe programs and I wasn't expecting that at all! Super compact, powerful and a great user experience. Recommended!

just got this laptop. went into store for a dell G3 due to price to performance, then saw this the macbook pro and was like yup im getting that. mainly due to battery and portability. the quadcore version is expensive might as well get the 15inch. 2017 model is damn good.

really liked the video. thinking of buying this for school and photo editing in lightroom. i just don't know what to do with the storage, i don't want to be always carrying my external hard drive with me. keep up the good work!

Hi. How does this iteration handles Adobe Photoshop CC? My daily job is graphic design and webdesign and I want to know if I could use this with Photoshop/Adobe XD mostly, and sometimes Illustrator (but not heavy) for freelance jobs? At my workplace I have a mid 2013 27'' iMac which is enough for the job, but is this enough for moderate usage at home? I'm not doing any video editing work nor I would do Photoshop heavy daily and I would really need the portability. Thank you :)

I used this model mpxq2 no touchbar 2017 macbook pro 128ssd for 1 month.... but I finally decided to switch to the same year Touchbar version. Nothing wrong with the No touchbar model, it’s just 128G seem not to be sufficient and the personal preference internally urges to change

I bought the base model as well and for less than half the cost of upgrading to a 256gb ssd i was able to buy a usb c hub with all the missing IO and a 1 terabyte usb c external HD.

13" MBP is totally a beast, but lack of ports and storage can be frustrating especially when compared to windows laptops in this range, although I have never faced that wifi issue u mentioned.

When he dropped the Mac I missed my heart beats for millisecond 😅

Have you had any issues with keys getting stuck or not working?

If only this thing at the Gen 3 keyboard, it would be fabulous! I've typed on both and the Gen 3 keyboard is firm and responsive. The 2017 MBP keyboard is types hard and clacky.

Have you tried the keyboard before the butterfly switches though?

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH THE WIFI PROBLEM WHEN CONNECTING USB-A!! Disappointinh considering i shelled out for the 13" touchbar model for the extra performance boost. Also noticed that the wifi problem only happens with non-apple third party dongles!

Good review. The 2018 14" Asus 8th gen intel 8 GB ram base model, 256 SSD base model Flip is a far better choice. Faress expensive, Great stylish aluminum build, no fan noise issues, great touch screen, fingerprint sensor, micro SD card slot, can be used as a tablet, looks great and is much cheaper. No problem editing videos or photos. 16 GB of ram is best for editing. It's where Apple laptops should be.

I have the same model. love it. I have a question for you, I'm not sure if I have a problem starting on mine or not. If I shut down mine, ( not sleep) and leave it shut down for a Weekend, my battery will discharge 23%. ? shut down for 51.5 hrs, and lost 23%. This normal or excessive? During sleep mode, I use under 1% per hour, that seems acceptable to me, but shut down seems high no?

If you shop around and are willing to buy a used albeit mint in-box macbook pro, you can score a 2018 quad core toucbar macbook pro 13" for about $1350. Just check facebook marketplace and Craigslist daily and you'll find one. Thats how I got mine, zero complaints and it was minty new with only 2 battery cycles.

I just purchased the 2017 13" Macbook pro after returning the 2018 Macbook Air and there are a few key things I'd like to mention that make them different. Everyone has been just repeating specs and such. The keyboard is louder but depending on how loud you press will make it differ for some. The space bar feels the worst out of all the keys. One main difference is the screen, it helps a lot with having a brighter screen. The pro has larger fans than the air and when I held the air on my lap it was perfectly fine, this one got intensively hot while updating to macos mojave. After it was fine but with the pro even doing simple tasks will give a bit of heat on your lap not anything crazy but some warmth will be there and I prefer the air in that retrospect. Weight is no problem with either. Typing is fine and I'm no pro typer which means my level of typing maybe suited to any keyboard. For performing tasks like he said leave it on a flat surface it does get hot. Battery life is okay on the pro and should be fine for regular day use, the air by end of day had about 40% and I mainly just watched netflix on it, but not the entirety of the day. I've used the pro for a little while now and battery life seems fine. Overall I ended up choosing the pro for the $100 it had at Best buy with both being on sale. I have an extended return period in which I will use it and make a decision. Reliability goes to the air, Quality goes to the pro and I'm not saying the reliability of the pro is bad but the keys with their history are questionable and the heating thing I discovered will net my final decision over the next few weeks.
