That's about the same year I was taking driver's ed in high school. Whatever happened to driver's ed taught in high schools? I remember it was usually the gym/football coaches that taught it as a 1/2 year class. I think we'd have better drivers on the road today if it were still taught in school. We had about six cars kept in a locked, fenced in area of the parking lot. I don't remember what they were--they could have been a Grenadas or something very similar. Only one was a manual, but I didn't get the chance to drive it because many guys fought over that one. However, my dad taught me on his--a Ford Fiesta at that time!

How high up did you go on the pinch between the back of the cab and the bed?

I do think the Nissan is the nicest looking small pickup. One of the main reasons I went for the Colorado is because it was rated for slightly better gas mileage. I really miss a manual transmission in this truck though--it seems Americans just no longer like to "drive" their cars anymore.

Thanks. I've always preferred the looks of the extended cab over the crew cab (better proportions). No kids to worry about now, so the extended cab is fine for the two of us. Besides, the back of an extended cab is only useful for gear--not people! My philosophy has always been you buy a truck for the bed and you buy a car if you want to carry more than two people!

@@brianweekley5700 I hate five foot beds on pickups, so I got the extended cab as well. I know you can order one with the long bed and four doors, but you can't find them anywhere and they look strange to me.

For the welds, I used Herculiner. It's a brush-on bed liner. Stir well--it's very thick. You can get it at Home Depot and many auto parts stores.

I did have the transmission flushed for the new, recommended fluid. Granted, I only have about 11k miles on my truck, but I've been extremely happy with it.

I started to scuff them with sandpaper, but they are textured/dimpled so you can't really do much. There might also be a type of undercoating on them already. Just washed with soap and water, dried, and painted. So far, it's held up fine.

Kevin Thurston Not long (15-30 min). I didn’t get a very clean line because the tape I had didn’t stick very well to the textured surface, but you can’t see it anyway because it’s underneath the curve of the doors. Free hand probably would have been fine too. I taped mainly so I wouldn’t inadvertently get it where I didn’t want it. Don’t sweat it-it’s a truck!

LOL! Yes, we had to order it that way! We also ordered a different seat configuration (another option few were aware of). Instead of configured for 7 passengers (2 person middle seat and 3 person back seat), we ordered a 5 person configuration with a single, 3 person middle seat. That left the back hatch area always open for groceries, luggage, shopping, etc. When needed, we only had to remove the center seat to carry lumber, etc. (seats didn't fold down in those days). For a box on 4 wheels, we really liked it. With a manual turbo, you could wind that baby up--no problem merging! It served us well and I actually miss it! At one time, I worked in a Class-100 clean room. When our site closed, all that stuff was being thrown out. I was able to keep one set that I use for projects like that. Brian Weekley I was after the 6cy automatic. But after reading the reviews the 6cy doesn’t get the advertised mpg. My knees aren’t what they use to be so I traded in my 6 speed manual WRX for the Colorado. Wife told me its time to grow up

Generation X My wife’s last car was a Genesis Coupe 6spd. Mine was a 2005 Eclipse Spyder GT 5sp. She got her Liberty before I got mine. We drive a CX5 GT and my Colorado, now. I love the truck, but I miss a sporty car with a short-throw, sometimes.

Good question? Another Question if this problem is fluid from 2015 why are 2019 still having it? Is blue label mobile one better than blsck label? What did they use as fluid from factory on 2019 ? They used black.label mobile one in my 2017.. Shudder cameback . Then they changed the TC and used black label fluid nit blue in Jan 2019 .. So far it runs great ... Lots of questions

Mine started shuddering after about two years- 20k- took it to the dealer and they flushed with new transmission fluid per TSB. Shudder gone!

Removal of the air dam will decrease fuel mileage, decrease the engine's ability to dissipate heat properly, and decrease the front end down force which will degrade the vehicle's handling, especially on the highway during windy conditions. The owner's manual states that the air dam must be reinstalled after its removal for any off road use.

Jeff Murdock I bought the Colorado for the mileage and don’t take it off road. That’s exactly why it’s still there and I also added a tonneau!

Jeff Murdock If I had my choice, I’d prefer a cleaner look without them, but my (short) wife made me add them. I have found that they do help protect the truck from dings because car doors hit the Nerf bars first.

Personally, as a “Boomer”, I don’t trust anyone under 55! LOL! 🤣🤣🤣
