Watch all the way through! You will not be disappointed. Although there were some issues with getting the right angle, this video was the best one I found on replacing keys!!!! I watched another video that was not as detailed and when I took the delete key off I broke the hinges on the back of the delete key and could not use it. Watched this video that really details how to get the bigger keys off, like the delete key. So, I ordered a new key from eBay and have a complete keyboard now. Wish I would have watched this video first so that I would not have broken the hinges, but live and learn.

Hello. I have exact same macbook. When I press upper right corner of backspace it doesnt work. I have to press harder to work if I press right corner. Would u please also try this is normal or I have issue? Thank you.

Most likely crumbs are stuck underneath

@@GoldPunch might have to blow, air under the key to get the crumbs out. Maybe a vacuum if you don't have an electric air blower. Don't use a hot air blower

hi my key (the small one under the shift key) is not sitting in i tried everything. i dont think its broken cause the white part didnt come off only the key is not sitting in. i tried to push it but it still came off... what can i do? can the key could be broken?

hey man, thansk for your video. you didn't show the procedure for the backspace. When I try to put it back it stays pushed in. Could you detail the difference between the procedure you show here and the one for the backspace ? Thank you

Removing the keys are risky if you don't know what you're doing and how the latches are underneath. I don't have a scrap keyboard for these models to do that. I only opened those keys because a customer needed them fixed.

If you need help with a specific key, you'll need to send me the computer to do it. You likely bent the parts underneath or broke the plastic clips.

@@patrickkaterina9116 most likely the issue is with the metal bracket. Similar to older macbook keyboards pre 2016.

My MacBook Pro 16 2019 model goes into Safeboot if I turn On the Mac after 5 hours . After restart from safeboot it works fine . Keyboard works fine and no damage at all . Also if I restart or turn it on within 2 hours or 3hrs it works perfectly fine. Any idea why it goes into Safeboot without shift key only after 5 hours ..??

Nice, fixed the one key that was nearly unusable. But because I needed a reference how it should look, I removed a second key, which now is stuck and doesn't spring back up (I can only press it like a slight tap and it prints the letter). I can still use it, but its awful. Do you know where the problem could be?

You'll have to pop it out and check the hinge mechanism.

This is not the A2141. A2141 does not have a rectangular enter/return key.

A ten minute video and not a single frame showing how to actually remove a regular key. After removing the key cap any normal person can see how the mechanism works so much of this video is not useful.
