4 жыл бұрынHaving spent close to two weeks so far with the 400ps Audi TTRS its clear that its a car that can do everything very well! The 2019 Audit TTRS is a perfect daily and with the awesome 2.5 5cyl engine is makes for a very quick daily. Acceleration of 3.8 seconds to 60mph is incredible. It puts all the power down in any condition which for the winter months has been perfect. I am very much enjoying this car. Yes it lacks a bit of drama but its clinical and i like it for that. The TTRS looks stunning. Audi have made this car look so aggressive compared to the TTRS of old. All in all im very pleased with it. I look forward to bring my long term review of the car once it goes back.

Ref the bumpy ride. Best option is set the individual setting up as everything dynamic and suspension at comfort :)

Just picked up a 2018 TTRS with under 6k miles. Though I wish it had a manual, I think the car is pretty wicked! Amazing power and sound. And I love the Jekyll and Hyde personality, where I can hoon it around in Dynamic mode and it's just all in your face, or I can put it in comfort mode and it's like driving an A3, being all polite, quiet, nice ride and sipping fuel lightly. Throw in fantastic styling inside and out and it's just an all around great car!

TTRS is beautiful and aggressive but for me the RS3 Sportback which I have is the best blend of performance and practicality with a decent boot, 5 doors and that glorious 5 pot....I’d love the steering wheel from the TTRS though!

Couldn’t agree more! Had mine since last year and out the box performance and sound of so addicting and that’s not even looking at the remapping potential, these get close to 500bhp through a stage 1..0-60 in the 2s as well. For a car that can do close to 40mpg that’s freaking impressive.

Stef, Grrreat vid. You sum up soooo much of the cars true attributes. I've had my TT-RS (orange) Sport Edition since August '19. It is the Swiss army-knife of cars. Brilliant & 100% capable in any weather with its quattro awd. Will toast any BMW rwd given our UK roads are normally so wet 'n grimmey - and do it with poise and utter confidence. MPG is nuts brill given the performance on offer. Nice one.

Love the TTRS! My TTS just feels amazing and is a perfect daily apart from my mpg having the 6 speed auto and because it’s hard not to drive it hard once it’s warmed up

i think the new TT as a whole is a brilliant car you deff need the mag ride and alough in dynamic it great its a bit to hard for the average uk roads. And alough mine is only a TTS its been mapped to 410bhp and the 4wd just has soo much grip in any weather. And the virtual cotpit is just so flawless and worked sooo well. I think one of the best infotainment systems maby not the flashiest but so easy to use when your on the move.

Yeah I went for the nardo sport back rs3 for practicality. And if you like it now you should try it at stage 1 or 2 , best car I’ve ever owned .

I've got an RS3 after previously owning a Jag F-Type(V6). Loved the Jag but just wasn't practical and couldn't drive it to it's full potential most of the time (great British weather). I did look at the TTRS but remembering having to cart my dog around in the F-Type it was a nightmare trying to get all the hair out with it being so compact, the RS3 still does a great job of keeping him in his seat.

Coming from the basic M4, Love my TTRS 67 platte - 22k miles done now stage 1 close to 500bhp , love it , just get rid of the pirelli p zero tyres right away .. And make sure you get a TTRS with an audi magnetic ride.. RS3 is slightly slower , heavier and i personally don't fancy the interior and for 2 people the front of the TTRS is more spacious and that's how it feels.. still very practical , massive boot with the seats down , seats for luggage ofcourse or very small one :)

Thanks for your video ! I was really between red or nardo for mine, I spend days on internet trying to find any good vids or pics of the 2020 TTRS in red with the glossy black package exactly like yours, I regret your video didn't came out before 😀. My TTRS will arrive in 4 days (14/02) and it will be nardo. I was in peace with my order since almost 3 month... now I seen your video... well...my brain is burning a bit... hope I won't regret my Nardo 😀🤣😀. Enjoy your new dailly !

Just started looking at the TTRS, will be used as a toy for the weekend but also the mrs will use it for the school run if my car is not available. I’ve told her it’s a 4 seater so she prefers it to the Cayman 😂😂

Due to driving family members using backseat, i would pick the RS3. None of em look bad though. (speaking of car not family members.. 😄) Theres a very nice grey metallic on the RS3 also from what i remember.

Yeah if you need to carry passengers regularly then rs3 will be the better option for sure

Great video! I recently had the same sort of choice to make only it was S3 vs TTS. Went for the TT as it came standard with much better spec - Mag Ride, Quilted seats and Virtual cockpit (think these are options on the S3?). Also the interior is top notch in the TT. We also have a family SUV, so space not an issue. Overall really happy with the TT, not sure if I could do 15+ K Miles a year in it, but I only use mine at weekends :)

Yeah same here my daily is a Outback I’ve had mine almost a year and only put so far just over 5k miles. This is the funniest car I’ve ever driven hands down from speed to corners it’s crazy especially for the price IMO it’s just well balanced.

Do you recommend magnetic or fixed suspension for TT RS? I plan to daily drive, but assertively and aggressively at times. I don't plan to ever track it. I'm think the mag-ride would be nice when the car is heavily loaded with cargo or passengers.

Mag will always be better especially the new versions of it if ride is too harsh. But in all honesty the TTRS ride comfort is spot on even without

Hi Stef, the TTRS is better looking but I would take the Sportback and only for 1 reason. I was in a serious car accident a few years ago and since then I have issues with my lower back. Had a Scirocco for 2 years and I promised myself never again will I get any car that is so low to the ground. What is the average MPG with the TTRS and with what kind of driving ?

@stefabtv did you ever drive the pre facelift TTRS?.. as some people seem to be saying the new one is slightly slower? I have a 2017 nardo grey TTRS so if you want to compare them give me a shout..

Love this car and it's a shame the TT is finished after this generation. I have to say, though, that a difference of about 12,000 USD between any level of TT and its equivalent A3 counterpart makes it an extremely hard sell even if I prefer it to the A3/S3/RS3. It's just not worth that premium at all.

The TTRS or the RS3? Hmmm... Could I opt for the Mercedes Benz A45s AMG instead? Purely because of the infotainment system on the merc is pretty stunning. But if I have to stick with the first two choices, I'd go for the TTRS. Just looks better and as I've no annoying rugrats anymore to cart around the country, I hardly ever use the rear seats. But that being said, because I'm an old git now (i.e. A long way on the wrong side of 50!) I'd go for a BMW M340i even though the Audi's faster :-))... This new incarnation of the TT is so much better looking than the first TT's that came out in 1998 after it's debut at the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show. PS - Who's that in the red car that's been following you?

The TTRS is not bad, but seriously, the RS3... you know it's bad when your front tires are WIDER than your back tires, while your back tires are bigger than your front. That car chassis is not meant to take all that power and front biased.

Although Audi looks nice these days, for me personally it will always be a fake sports car. They want to look sporty and it is so obvious they want to position the brand as a sports car brand and while some of their cars are great sports cars others successful in racing, in essence when compared to Alfa or BMW Audi feels watered down, made with so many compromises just to please the average driver. This makes their cars very good sellers, but from a driver's perspective not very interesting.

Wierd way of seeing it!!!. I've never had audi before I got a 310 bhp audi tt 225 mk1. It's so much fun I had a 172 clio sport with 274bhp and 328i bmw, wich had k&N twista induction kit had hornet exhaust tuned racing reevs port polish etc.To me i view the TT, by far the best car I've had for the driving exsperience. it's not the biggest motor 1.8t

@@allanrussell2006 As I said they have some great sports cars and some of their cars are very successful in racing, however Audi as a brand is not a sports car brand no matter how hard they want it to be. All your cars were somewhat specially built for one purpose and of course they will be good at some extent, however if you take a regular A3, A4, Clio or Laguna then you will notice how boring and generic those cars are. Then you enter any Alfa Romeo and you have that recognizable character right away, no mater you have the weakest diesel. This is almost true to BMW, however they watered down their regular cars just to make them sell better, which is understandable. Audio RS4 is a good car overall, I believe it can somewhat compare with Giulia QV and M3/4, however a regular A4 is nowhere near 159/Giulia/3 series when it comes to sports car character, ah that big and unresponsive steering wheel, body roll, park bench seats, and boring interior with too many buttons.

@@BojanBojovic I hear you!!, my Audi does have upgrades and it's my first Audi. Therefore I lack in exsperience regarding this subject. I test drove an alfa Guilia in Jan an it was exstremely agile very gd point and go. Also everyones exsperiences are diff hence why there so much choice!.I appreciate you taking the time to reply. cheers
