I've had my '19 Latitude for 6 months, and I enjoy it. The hesitation you felt may or may not be due to the nine speed automatic mated with the 2.4 L 4 cylinder engine. I don't drive in mountains; but, I've noticed it on the smaller hills where I live. It doesn't have the get up and go my 6.0 L Silverado had; but, then again, I'm getting 28 - 30 MPG compared to 17 or 18. Overall, I'm satisfied with the basic Cherokee, which is what the Latitude is.

I loved the way the Cherokee steers. Nicely weighted and turns very sharp.

Pretty par for for the course considering it's an FCA product. They are really focusing their engineering on the interiors. Comfort and technology. Not sure about the new ones, but Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep & Plymouth's achilles has always been their transmissions.

My brother rented one last summer and went to Iowa. I drove it for a hour and the transmission and steering really disappointed me. I felt like my odyssey was more responsive lol. I like the head cam pretty good

Great Review. Looks nice! Im in the air between a tucson and a cherokee. Alot of great sales going on for 19 models. After watching this Im almost certain I have to get the V6. Hope that makes the difference riding through hills.

Got mine at 30 k miles currently has 67 k just came back from a 24 hour road trip and she drove so smooth..the 2.4 engine definetly saved me gas

The 4cyl is known for oil consumption issues and transmission problems. Ive seen the 4 cyl be replaced before 15k miles. The v6 is smooth but the transmission will die. Wife had a 2016 Latitude V6. Transmission issues and electrical gremlins. They eat tires also. They are tanks in the snow but best to Stay away.

Nothing beats the tundra steering

Not a bad vehicle I like them and with the exception of a few of them having bad engine and bad Transmissions if that ever happens take it in get it fixed boom you're good. And by the way it's not the Jeep Latitude that's is a Jeep Cherokee the trim is latitude which means it's kind of second from base model. And contrary to popular belief these vehicles are actually relatively good and they do come in three engine options yeah the base model 2.4 liter 4 cylinder followed by the 2 liter turbo and in the 3.2 liter V6. In my opinion if you're going to buy this vehicle step up to either the V6 or the 2L Turbo believe or not the 2 liter turbo has more torque than the V6. If you want power and fuel Economy step to the 2.0 L turbo V6 power in a 4cyl package.

I don’t like my jeep I got it because that’s what I was able to get. To small uncomfortable.. i has to replace battery then break keep getting stuck witch you can still drive as long as seat belt it on...but now I have had the jeep 9 months and the driver site window will not roll up.. this is a latitude basic jeep..
