I spend a week with the new 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD! With a lowered ride height, sportier suspension, bigger brakes and sportier steering, the TRD version of the Avalon improves the already good handling of the current-gen Avalon. But, my favorite addition for this model is the TRD exhaust which gives this V6 engine a great soundtrack. But at the end of the day, it's $11,000 more than a Camry TRD, with this car having an as-tested price of around $45,000, which might make this a tough sell for some shoppers. In this video I explain why it might be worth the extra money to some. What do you think of the TRD Avalon?

This thing is stunning in person, especially since these are rare in my area. Seeing it on the internet I thought the front grille was a joke but when I first saw it The front grille has a pearlescent finish that looks sick in the sun. In person it looks bad ass and the grill just works.

8 months of ownership of same car and color and couldnt be more happier. Car has enough power and planted at high speeds no body roll. People are complaining about more hp needed if they do so it will step into Lexus territory. This car is for certain buyers not everyone will like it. Btw the car is limited to 143 atleast that is where mines stopped. People im not old either as many say grandpa car im only 28 lol.

Finally someone reviewing the Avalon for what it really stands for: a comfortable mid to large size sedan with a few upgrades here and there to make your commute even better! nobody needs more power than what this car already has. GREAT review!

SEXY. Looks badass in this TRD trim. This is a very rare and unique car. This will be a collectors car in a few years. Even tho power is not touched the TRD upgrades are very good enough to changes the character of this car... this should easy eat up a back road. This car and the TRD camry are the best large FWD cars for driving enthusiast.

Sucks that TRD Camery trim is only feature on a base Camery. Not XSE Camery which has the nicer looking headlights, taillights, real Navi and way more better features. For the price that you’re paying already for TRD Camery. Rather just go with Avalon TRD. You get all the features.

It’s imo a better attempt at trd than the Camry but still is too much of a styling exercise and not enough performance to truly hit the mark. It would be good to have a different intake and ecu mapping(at the least), along with the “sport” exhaust. Why not add a turbo to the V6?

Toyota should just make exclusive TRD model cars serperately instead of incorporating them to every Toyota lineup. This is like a car for “ricers”
