@johnnycrash3433 жыл бұрын
I was looking at an 850 xmr and this. The can am just has to many issues and they're supposedly pretty difficult to work on as far as things being in the way to access simple stuff. I love the fact that they sound awesome and can wheelie and they look cool, but the longevity is the issue

Love the setup, especially with the deluxe wheels. Only wish the foot shift version still had a high/low range. I need that for snowplowing.
@johnnycrash3433 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Yeah that'd definitely be nice to have an auxiliary gear reduction so you would have 10 gears vs 5. Like on a jeep with a manual transmission where going to 4 low essentially gives you another 5 gears or on a tractor trailer with hi/lo gear range
@m.b82573 жыл бұрын
First gear on a Honda is like low range
@johnnycrash3433 жыл бұрын
Lol pretty much. You blip the throttle and it's like oh shit time to shift. Would be sweet to have an auxiliary gearbox with like a 3:1 reduction. Then you'd have 5 more gears and there would be no need to do gear reduction mods for big tires

Congratulations on Rubicon. Hopefully you enjoy it. I'm on fence with Rubicon and King Quad 750 and Yamaha Kodiak. If I get Rubicon I want foot shift model too because I keep hearing issues about dct. Do all the Rubicon models offer foot shift?
@johnnycrash3433 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. I would stay Away from the suzuki if you can my buddy has a king quad 500 and it has nowhere near the build quality of the Honda. The kodiak and grizzly are both great machines as well. The only Rubicon they offer with foot shift is the FM6 spec. You can get it in red, metallic green or camo for '21. It does have power steering. The other models are all DCT. If you plan to leave the machine stock the DCT works well from what I hear, but if you wanna run bigger tires footshift is the way to go
@Brandon68plus13 жыл бұрын
@@johnnycrash343 Thanks bro for the info. I want so bad to stick with Honda based on our bulletproof FourTrax models we used to have back in 80s&90s and the fact I don’t really like CVT transmissions. I just wish Rubicon had larger engine compared to the other 3 Japanese manufacturers. I’d go with Can Am first but they are more than I need.

@@Brandon68plus1 yeah I heard that that's exactly why I went with honda. I wanted a can am but they are about as reliable as a yugo. But would definitely be nice to see honda take that 1000 motor in the Talon and slam it in a refreshed Rincon

Nice quad, what do you think of the kawasaki brute force? I've owned my 2018 since new and love it. Ive put just over 125hrs and 1500 miles on it so far. I assumed kawasaki was up there with honda in terms of reliability and the brute makes considerably more power than the rincon so that's what i went with. It also helps that everyone i know that has had experience with the brand has had good luck.
@johnnycrash3433 жыл бұрын
To be honest I'm not a big fan of the brute force. Many of the people I know that have had em have had alot of issues. Other thing is it's a very dated quad, hasn't been refreshed in like 10 years. That's why I didn't get a Rincon. I would've like to have the extra displacement but she's just dated. IMHO the best brands as far as build quality and longevity, which is mostly my concern over performance and looks in order are, Honda, Yamaha, Polaris, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Can-am. They definitely make alot more power than Honda, but belt drives just ain't for me
@the407353 жыл бұрын
@@johnnycrash343 What do you mean when you say “issues” and were the ones your buddies owned older than 2012. If so I believe you. 2012 and up machines are much better. I can’t believe you rank Polaris up there with the Japanese bikes. Kawasaki is by no means an unreliable brand.
@johnnycrash3433 жыл бұрын
@@the40735 I think most of em were older. I say Polaris in the regards of people who keep em stockish. But as soon As you lift em and treat em like a rented mule they fall apart. I would put them, kawi, and suzuki, on the same playing field. Most of the brute issues I saw were belts not keeping dry and burning up premature, and axle issues. They're definitely not unreliable, but just not built heavy enough and not the quality of a Honda

Do you recommend the auto version or manual
@johnnycrash3433 жыл бұрын
Definitely gotta go with the manual. I prefer manual transmissions anyway, but where the auto kind of has a mind of its own I don't like that. I would much rather have something that is gonna be predictable and know that when I pick a gear it's not coming out of that gear. Plus makes it feel much sportier
