Take a Breath. I’m changing the air filter out on the 2021 Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro with a DNA High Performance filter. It wasn't really that dirty because I haven't been on too many gravel or dirt roads with it. In this video you’ll learn how to remove the seat and side panels in order to remove and install a new air filter.

Whoops - worried again. Almost €100 for a new filter ... I'm going for the DNA reusable filter ...

Yea it’s much easier than the previous 800 models where you had to remove the gas tank. Thanks for watching.

Yea they definitely made it easier. I believe the front fender and fuel take has to be removed on the older 800 and 1200 Tigers.

@@timetomoto on my V Strom you need to take half the bike apart to get to the air filter. I just picked up the tiger 900, I’m curious if I’ll like it as much as the Suzuki. I like the videos man, educational, straight to the point and entertaining. Keep it up dude. Cheers.

I think you're supposed to oil it only on the side that's facing out. If you oil it on the side facing the throttle body intake, the oil will get sucked in and gunk up the MAF sensor.

Good call out. After doing some additional research I should have only sprayed the intake side of the filter and let the oil wick in. Thanks for pointing that out.

THanks for the walk through. Any perceived difference in performance between the new higher flow filter vs the original? Also what was the mileage during the swap?

I didn’t really noticed a performance difference to be honest. It was only at 3000 miles when I swapped it and I was still kind of getting to know the bike.

What about downloading a DNK tune? Have you done that too ?

I have not. I haven't really looked into any tuning kits for this bike.

How many miles had it done?

I installed it at around 600 miles if I recall correctly. I generally clean it with every oil change sometimes sooner if I’ve been eating a lot of dust riding behind others. My bike has a little over 6k now and I haven’t had any issues with it.
