The battery tender is not stock. Your dealership probably installed it as part of the prep. You have a good dealership. Unfortunately most dealerships are not so kind. I begged my dealership to put one on mine and even offered to pay extra for it. They refused because Honda does not offer OEM battery tenders and therefore the dealership is not obligated to install it. I tried doing it myself but it is no easy task. My Rebel is a 2023 and there are no KZfaq videos to help. You wouldn't think it was possible but the wiring harness and battery removal is different from the earlier models. I'm pretty handy with tools and DIY but there's a lot of work just getting access to the battery. I took all the panels off and you still can't even see the battery from all the clutter. I'll try again when I have a whole weekend to invest but I'm seriously considering letting my local Harley mechanic do it. My Honda dealership is pathetic and will rape me for cost at every opportunity.

@@jamesrevell6475 thanks for the reply James. I’ll make a video on hooking up a tender over the next week or so. I did buy the bike used for my dad. I figured it came stock here in Canada. This was also the SE model. I’d be happy to help out. I want to see how it’s installed anyway - so no problem to figure it out and I’ll post something in the days ahead. Cheers buddy.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ve had good luck with exhaust clamps from radiant cycles, but I’ve had some fail on me whilst under too much torque. Good idea in the c-clamp - how are you liking the shorty?

It’s a lot louder and to some that’s a problem. I don’t think there is any need for modification to the fuel map or adding a fuel controller. It’s not that invasive of a change. The upside is looks, less weight, and sound in my opinion.
