Good luck please don't try and over take another vehicle on a two lane highway If you make sure you can see 5 miles ahead so you won't get killed in the darn thing. That CVT transmission won't give you the power needed to do that type of maneuver FYI

@@rafars2246 I’ll explain…… It’s called improving the things that were causing problems. Duh. I drove a Honda that had an engine failure after 150K miles. On the other end of the spectrum I had a Benz that needed an engine replacement. And yes, all maintenance was done at the dealer. I have a friend who works for Nissan and he stated that the trans has been improved dramatically. Before you bash it, really go and test drive it. Don’t jump on the bandwagon of the CVT haters. If man made it, it will break, ask any high end vehicle owner. Smh

Check out the 2022 outlander they look identical in things but they both have nice features that make it there own.

I purchased a 2021 Platinum for $37K. It’s worth it and not moving to the 3 cylinder. I live in NJ and have taken this thing to MD, CT, VA, and NC with NO ISSUES!!!!! It merges into traffic, handles hills, sharp curves, rain, and an occasional burst of speed, just fine; especially while in Sport Mode. Remember, it’s a compact SUV, not a sports car. When I want a sports car with the intention of just racing any and every vehicle I pull next to; I’ll go get my 911 Targa. Until then, the Rogue Platinum is more than adequate for everyday traveling with premium appointments. For $37K I walked away with a steal. But, I’m not crazy enough to not put an extended warranty on this. That’s just protecting your own investment. Test is before you trash it.

While I understand having those thoughts, please understand that Nissan has had years to learn from and to make improvements upon. Also, the Jatco CVT was a higher maintenance component the people weren’t used to (what other transmission had a drain/fill schedule at 60,000 and how many people had issues because they didn’t follow this). I have a 13’ Nissan with the cvt and I use my own schedule.

Rogue is 1000% better than the Corolla Cross

I haven’t seen not one Corolla cross in person yet I’ve seen plenty of new rogues on the road that says a lot

Yeah Nissan CVT is straight garbage Then you get these randoms in the comments talking about their good, they're literally not worth anything There's reasons you can find all types of Nissan's in junk yards with no transmission and all types of other issues Not to mention all the class action lawsuits Nissan faced over CVT's failing

@@hambone7564 Not saying they’re good or bad. I’m saying use some common sense. Pay attention to the number of Versa, Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Rogue, Kicks, Juke, and Murano vehicles on the road. Ask an owner that ACTUALLY read their manual and follow the maintenance schedule. My former company used the NV200 cargo van and I drove a couple as hard as you can drive a vehicle well at the rated payload capacity. Our fleet of 20+ vans followed the maintenance schedule and NEVER had an issue through years of use. I purchased a used Juke and haven’t had any issues. Really gets old hearing people spread just what they’ve heard but with ZERO experience.

You can drive this in manual mode fully having to gear shift yourself. You get alot of power but it takes practice. The CVT trans will treat you well if you change the fluid every 60k

Because the 2.0 can't match up to 30/37 fuel mileage. Why would you want to reduce your gas mileage by 7mpg on the hwy. This isn't supposed to be fast lol.

They did actually. Research Nissans updated dual pump CVT used in the 22s.

First off, this new one is way fast than the outgoing model. As well, the new updated dual pump CVT is leaps and bounds better.

@@joenissan The updated CVT Is steel chain driven instead of steel belt, it also has a low speed and high speed oil pump to help with low end and high end response and performance. The 3 Cylinder VC-Turbo has over 30,000 of testing by Nissan as well as being in development for almost 20 years. The 3 Cylinder is for the fuel economy and it isn't too shabby at all. Driven them at 73MPH and it still gets over 40MPG

If you buy a good one it will last you quite some time
