Hi Tristan! New subscriber. Excellent video and OEM accessories my friend. Thumbs way up. Just purchased mine and share similar aesthetics as you. For example, mine too came with the same OEM running boards as you previously had. However, I plan on upgrading to the TRD ones. By the way, did you also consider the ‘Bed Storage Boxes’? I’m curious if they could be installed in conjunction w/the Bed Extender? Finally Tristan, curious how those living outside the Houston area could purchase the custom anti-theft shield for the Cat Converters? Do you happen to have a good POCs name and contact info? Keep the great content coming Brother😊!

Hello there! Thank you for your support and the kind words! Congratulations on your Tundra 👍. I love the TRD pro steps. Significant upgrade in my opinion both from a function and aesthetic perspective. To answer your questions: 1. The storage swing cases are very nice. Unfortunately, you’re left choosing one or the other (bed extender) because they use similar mounting points. I personally prefer the bed extender because it gives me the capability for storing larger items in the truck bed. I actually utilized them when I had my old running boards in the back 😁 2. Talon’s garage is the manufacturer of the CAT anti-theft plate. However, I looked at their website and it’s considered sold out at the moment. My contact from Fred Haas is Bradley Hubbard (Sales Manager) 346-225-7409. I would reach out to him and just let him know you saw my video and are interested in the anti theft plate. I am sure he can help you with the process of purchasing one and getting it shipped to you. Hope that helps. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me for any additional questions. Hi Tristan. Love the content and the TRD is amazing. I think you have the best color by far. I have a bed step that if you push it from the side of the truck towards the rear with your foot it extends easier not sure if yours would too. Good call on running boards much better. Can’t wait to see future mods!

Will those running boards stop door dings? In Canada, the Pro's come standard with rock rails and I'm thinking of getting these installed when my truck comes in November. Thx.

You know I honestly never thought about it serving as a door guard. However, it sticks out far enough to serve that purpose. I think you’ll be safe against cars, but trucks that are the same height or higher not so much. But great question 👍

I hybrid version is worth every penny! The performance is just impressive. While many do not like the look of the new Tundra, I personally love it!

I have a question on your Toyota steps. I was going to purchase the same ones as your older steps for my 2024 Tundra Limited and the parts lady at the Toyota dealership said this We do not sell to many of this style because honestly, it's a horrible design. They sit really close to the cab and no room for your foot to step on. What’s your thought on this? Do they set too close to the cab and is there no room to put your foot to step on to get in and out of the truck?

@@andy.hanway Hey Andy. I personally did not like the previous running boards as they sat too low and honestly didn’t have the “rugged” aesthetic look I was going for. You have plenty of room to step on, it just sat way too low. I love my TRD ones. They are definitely more durable and love the texture to it which prevents slippage when climbing on. Hope this helps.

The 4Runner will definitely be interesting! Actually a year before I purchased my Tundra, I almost purchased a Lunar Rock TRD Pro Tacoma. However, news dropped that the new Tundra would be coming out and I just held out instead lol. Can't go wrong with any of the three.

I think you need to step on the side of the bed step to make it come out easier. That’s how it was on my ‘15 tundra with the bed step and if I tried to make it go down by pushing on the back section it barely wanted to go down

The bed step bro u eat your foot on the side and goes down smooth if u put your foot directly in the rear middle it’s very hard to bring down ….also bro I did the full carbon fiber interior looks insane …and my westcott lift came in yest will be installed on sept 29 then I’ll have my wheels on also then wheel alignment

I tried this is out and you're absolutely right! Goes down much smoother stepping on it from the side. I tried to move my tailgate around like you asked and it actually stayed fairly secure in its position. Were you able to those concerns addressed with your truck? And man those mods sounds great! Send me pics to my email please. Would love to see that carbon fiber interior.

Thanks Jason! The fronts are 35%. Unfortunately, legally the darkest we can go in the front here in Texas. The backs I will tint down to 20% or so later on. Usually, the set up I go with all my vehicles is 35% fronts and about 20% rears (sometimes even darker).

Hey Michael! I definitely think they are worth the extra money for several reasons: 1. Looks better and more flushed with body of the truck (even though ground clearance is the same) 2. The line-x texture of the running boards reduce the risk of slipping 3. The "TRD" stamp on the boards is just awesome! Haha

@@michaelwright1813 I haven't attempted to clean it just yet. Definitely won't come off just by wiping it. Appears you would really need to spray it down and rinse it off. Once I wash the truck, I will provide you an update on the degree of difficulty to remove that trapped sand/dirt.

I actually plan to keep the TRD Pro wheels as is. I love the fact that they are BBS forged wheels. Can't go wrong there. If anything, I will put 35s on the truck when the current tires need replacement.

She’s actually super supportive of my car hobby and the title was just a joke. But I completely understand where you’re coming from as I do have friends who have to hide their toys or purchases from their wife. Fortunately I do not. She actually owns her own business and has even bought me car parts 😁. Overall, I did set the boundaries early. Don’t interfere with my car hobby and we’re good 😂

Lol well yeah of course. However, the amount of force required to bring it down was excessive. But, recommendations to approach it from the side rather than directly behind significantly helps.

Unfortunately supply and demand is the culprit. We even see mark ups on medical supplies and paying double or triple the amount we normally pay.
