When those two plowsets dropped down in sequence and that tractor started to buckle down and talk, that was kind of spectacular. Good job. Nice piece of ground too.

My first farm tractor was a Cat Diesel 50,same engine with one more cylinder.

That sure is some good looking dirt!! You would struggle to pull 3 bottoms in our Kentucky clay.

Engage the pulley. Light sanding while turning, then oil it with linseed oil.

How much would you guess the cost per hour of running a D4 plowing fields is when you consider fuel and wear and tear on undercarriage? I know this a hobby for these guys so the cost doesn’t really figure into the fun for some people.

I dont think you could put an accurate number out there because the wearable undercarriage parts are no longer available new, therefore leaving used parts as the only option and prices vary widely

Seems like our RD6 would burn about 30 gallons of diesel in about 10 hours of moldboard plowing. It ran for about 30 years on the original set of tracks.
