Outside veer is a great option play that puts perimeter defenders in a bind with the threat of a give to the fullback in C-Gap, a keep by the quarterback in D-Gap or a pitch outside of the entire defense all while leaving the 6 tech or wider defender unblocked at the point of attack. The perimeter blocking is not perfect in these plays, but the effort is great and most importantly the execution of the give or keep read is perfect!
