About to get my very first one and finally decided on the 2023 rebel 500, just got to wait 2 more weeks to get my cert for cheaper insurance. I live in southern IL and I have seen a few places listing them new. Nice they delivered it to you and it the sound and look looks amazing. Keep hearing how it's pretty good as a starter that you can grow into and not need to trade out for something with more power after 6 months.

cool, 1 mile. i ride a 2019 rebel 500. i love it. had it now for 2 years. i am going to get a bigger bike, either the Fury or rebel 1100. i really want a fury, but i would take an 1100 if it's not dct. enjoy your rebel, it's a great bike!!

I just sold my overweight under powered mint 750 Aero and considering the Rebel 500. My fave of all time was an 80s model CM400T, bought it in college... My dream has always been a bike that can easily cruise at 80mph, solid, heavy but plenty of hp, motor loafing. No desire for speed(2cycle speedsters, rocket bikes/crotch rockets). My 400 didn’t loaf, it screamed, pegged/wide open at 85mph(pegged) only once, whilst drunk, motor ungoverrned . It was perfect for me, fit, finish even the color scheme, brg(green). I loved but sold it in prime condition and would pay triple if i could find new. Honda no longer inventories their bikes due to storm losses. My 750 weighed 100lbs more than the Rebel and shaft as opposed to chain. Shaft is heavy , pickup like an auto trans American car. Chain is direct and immediate , and weighs much less. The smaller bike has a better weight to power ratio and actually has more bhp than the 750. Smaller/lighter bike with more hp, exactly what im looking for. If you change exhaust consider the 2 brothers slip on, no need for recomputerising electronic ignition, s ( as i understan, but im no expert), and sound good. A 500cc engine isnt going to give you the beautiful sound of a well tuned V cyl Harley but is costing maybe a third buckwise, and anyway big heavy bikes are for a particular type of rider, imo. Which i am not (yet), long distance cruisers. Best of luck, drive carefully and always gear up! Im right behind you❤ 17:03

I am 66 and ride a KLR-650. The seat height on this bike is 34.2 inche's. I am about 5'9". Been thinking of trading my bike for a Rebel 500. Love my KLR, only has a little over 4000 miles on it, this is a 2012 model, runs Great. The Honda Rebel has some pretty cool aftermarket product's available. Love your new ride my man! Congrats on your new ride. Been looking at one for awhile now for my wife. I'm 68 and have been riding for 50 years. Currently on a '13 CB1100. I gotta say, though, I was a bit surprised by someone buying a bike and not knowing that a) it has a digital gear indicator and b) it is a 6-speed. Umm. Leave the muffler alone. It's awesome as is. Ditch the bar-end mirrors (I saw them on your Navi... .what????). Just enjoy the beauty of the bike as is. And yeah, styling is subjective, I get it. But enjoy it for awhile before you worry about messing with the thousands of hours Honda designers put into its gorgeous design.

First bike I ever rode in My courses liked it but the lower back comfort is rough

I am 165 pounds , beginner . Do you think this would be the bike for me ? I considered the 883 sportster , or yamaha bolt ? What do you think ? If all goes well , I might be buying one next year , by that time you will be switching to a 1100 ! Yes , dont get me wrong . You seem like a pro , just brake it in properly, first oil change after 500 miles or 400 , and the bike will be as good as gold ! This will extend the lifetime of the motor by at least 40-50 % , trust me. If u ever wish to upgrade just contact me in about a year.

If have the CB500X. Honda's little 500's the little motor that could and can, If they use the same chain across the range, they are crap. Mine lasted about 20,000k
