Speaking to a few friends that drive a 4th generation Ram, I can say the classic look is what appeals to them, and with the V8 disappearing, I'll be in the same boat enjoying my V8 5th gen.

Overpriced. My 2020 Classic Tradesman extended cab was $32k with the Hemi. It’s been in production since 09 so there’s plenty of cheap parts and relatively easy to mod/ repair. It’s like a modern day square body.

I’m pretty sure Ram’s reasoning for producing the ‘Classic’ is because they had a ton of excess parts from the 4th generation. Rather than produce a mid-sized truck, they just kept producing lower trim 4th gens. When the Classics were $38k or $39k, it was no problem because they made for a good truck at that price point. But they’re way overpriced now. I’ve always had a soft spot for those Warlocks though. I have a 21 Rebel and they remind me of a baby Rebel lol. The Warlocks from the 70s were badass

I bought a 2023 Warlock quad cab on 10/23/23, has the 3.6 but that's all i need and has plenty and lots of useful options for $42,800, list was 52,000.00. It has tow package, 355 gears, limited slip, power drivers seat with full console, fog lights, tow hooks, power and heated rear window, full sized spare, fender well liners, push button start and a few other things, i like the 6 ft 4 bed and just had a bed rug and tonneau cover installed. I saw a base classic for 40 grand in that Hydro blue which i liked but mine is the mineral dark gray metallic. I am fully satisfied with it and i got amazing $$$$ for my trade.

With the current incentives relative to the other trucks in the market, I 100% get why these things sell. People can’t afford $70+ k for a big horn or f150 xlt. It’s madness. I had a 2015 ram and it was a great truck. If I was buying a new truck with warranty right now I’d seriously be considering a ram classic

I just bought a 2023 Warlock quad cab with plenty of nice options, V-6, tow pack, tow hooks, fog lights, power rear window, power driver seat, limited slip, 355 gears, push button start and other things for $42,800, even a Tacoma costs the same or more, i love my Warlock

I had an 17 Ram EcoDiesel bighorn package bought new and it was totaled in 2022. Went to the dealer and tried the newest model and honestly I liked 4th Gen more. With that said I just bought a 2019 Ram Bighorn HEMI and I’m very happy with it. BTW great video 👍🏽

Customers won't stop buying them, that's why we keep building them. Most are sold as work/ fleet trucks. The rest get shipped overseas.

My local socal dealerships sell the crap out of them But, they have a hell of a discount. MSRP for a Warlock is $46K and the dealerships around me are selling them with an OTD price of $34K.

I just bought a 2023 Warlock, picking it up Monday, has plenty of options, limited slip, 355 gears, upgraded seats, heated power rear window, tow pack, etc. Its the QUAD cab so its the 6ft 4 in bed

My local dealer has mark downs of up to 10k off on the Warlocks. So this is a 40k truck which is very affordable for what you get. V6 engine is just down on power.

305 HP V6 is not bad, with the 8spd and 3.55 rear axle I'm not disappointed coming from 2004 Tundra with V8

I still think the 4th gens are attractive trucks. They should be priced about $10K - $15K below the 5th gens to appeal to entry level buyers IMO.

They were when I bought mine in 2020 it was $10k cheaper than the 5th gen and it came with a Hemi. Prices now are just insane.

Most Warlock about here 45K and under with the discounts... Still Snagged my "Classic" back in 2013..(V6) with RamBox for about 33K. Then was a good spot in my life for basic House stuff... Avg indeed 20 MPG Summer... winter a bit less due to warm up. Hoping next year to look into 2500s..(Used at this point) due to cost. (Wish to Start camper pulling) Might even a have to look at the Fords.... Overall tho, she is treating me good. (Knock on wood)

As someone wanting a truck that is new and not abused by someone else before me. The classic is a great option, it’s the same drivetrain as the 5th gen too. If all you care about is the frills then you have no business owning a full sized truck anyway

Warlocks in my area are being discounted to about $45k. I agree why you would keep producing the classic, when you have 5th Generation Tradesmen and Bighorn's? Plus I paid $56k for my 2022 Laramie with the 5.7 e-torque. Why spend $50k for an under powered old tech truck?

I despise the push button start, knob for shifting, and the open door safety system that shoves it into park WHILE YOUR MOVING!!!! Otherwise I love my RAM. I love that its BASIC. Its a pick up truck, not a luxury mobile. Its for hauling sh*t.

The value proposition on these is the heavy discounts. Just snagged a new 23 warlock for $11,125 off msrp. That’s a brand new 4x4 full size off road equipped truck for 42k. Plus imo this 4th gen front end looks way beefier and better than the 5th gen until you go all the way up to the rebel trim and then you’re over 60k.

I have a 2021 Ram Classic "Express" Quadcab 4X4 3.6L and I paid 40,700$ CAN (32,000$ US) for a used one with 10,000 km (5,900 miles) with many options (heated seats & streering wheel, electric seat etc...) & accessories & extras (box cover, all season mats, winter tires on mags 17", hood & windows deflectors, rust proofed etc...). So I would say between 40,000$ (US) and 42,000$ (US) would be a decent price for a new 2023 Ram Classic 4X4 but 50,000$ (US) plus is way too much $$$. 🧐

I will say the 4th gens look a lot better than the 5th gens. The 5th gens look like boring grandpa trucks. Such a bizarrely bland and boring design compared to the previous few generations.

Ram still builds this because it’s sells 35% of 1500 sales are the classic version and it has high profit because all the manufacturing costs for this truck are well paid for it’s a win for ram not the consumer

I like the classic NON warlock edition...but you're not being to harsh...Rams's MSRPs have gone up more than anyone in the 2022/2023 model years (I think) I see 2023 Ram 2500HD Tradesmans going for over $60k+ !!!

The Classics exsist because people still want BASIC PICK UP TRUCKS. We dont all want overloaded luxury items at a $80,000 price tage when we just need 4 wheel to haul stuff, plow, tow, get dirty... you know truck sh*t.

Agree too much. But I’ve seen 2 wheel drive in Fresno area for 36000. I would buy a Chevy trail boss custom for the same price. A lot more power and capability for same price.

Leaning towards one as well. They’re simplistic, cheap relative to everything else, and time tested. Exactly what I look for in a truck. Will likely outlive the turboed competition

if you can get them for 10k off msrp its a good deal...also your going to get great reliability since this generation is 14 years old....they've had 14 years to fix any problems....most times its risky buying the first years of a new generation because it takes years to fix all the problems in new production.

Yeah I think it's time to retire the Classic trucks. I have a 2016 RAM once its time for a new one it'll be 5th or 6th gen truck. One or 2 years of theses was ok but it's time to move on. And the price of them you can but a 5th Gen Big Horn for the Price of those Warlocks now.

I was surprised Ram classic as a outdated truck, all parts should be cheap enough due to marginal principles. However, this truck price at 60k dollars in Canada in 2023. I will keep watching who will buy this honk of last century with that much of money. The pricing policy needs be reclaimed by the market not the fatty greedy management

The thing was, the clascis were supposed to be an affordable way to get into a full-size truck. HOWEVER, if you compare it to a comparably equipped Gen 5 Tradesman, the Tradesman is $50,220! $575 less expensive than this truck!!!! Besides greed, can someone explain why Ram thinks people will pay more for an inferior truck?

Classic Warlock with a V6 for 50K!!??!! WTF? These could be had for mid 30's around 2019-20 with incentives. Hell the V8 version was under 40k. That's where it made sense. 30 to 37k. FIFTY. THOUSAND. DOLLARS. With an N/A V-6. No heated seats. No front sensors. Quad cab not a Crew cab. Only an appearance package. FOR FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!? No. I’ll go buy used, and pay to keep it running for a LONG DAMNED TIME before I pay that kind of money for what should be at least twenty thousand dollars cheaper.

50k? Wow that’s a horrible deal :/. Are there any redeeming factors. 4x4 maybe? V6 NA, should be v8 or turbo at least. Payload 1.3k? 8 speed? Fuel economy isn’t even good for the power you get :/. Wheels and tires :/. The absence of bells and whistles in the interior don’t really bother me. Truck should be 30k new, and even then it’s a hard sell.
