I think you are looking at this bike wrong. It is meant to get new riders interested in riding or older folks that want a sporty naked style ride. I couldn't stand the looks of non faired bikes years ago. Now they are alright lol. What bugs me on the Triumph you mentioned is they make it Look like alum frame when its not. It's not gonna replace my gsxr750 passion(cable just feels better than electro gizmo controls) but ANY bike that gets more people riding is a good thing. Id go as far as saying they need to make more auto's at this point to get the avg age of riders down and growing. The 8r is a competitor to the r7 and cbr650r imo and the 8r is the better daily rider

I told you people wouldn't like the review lol. It's labeled as the New Standard of Sport! Which ok I suppose it is in away. It's not a bad motorcycle it's just not for me. No matter what bike people ride I'm a happy person and if this is the way the industry is moving then I'm ok with that because more people will be riding. Whatever it takes to get more riders is a good thing and if we need to create a new category called the middleweight sports tourer then let's do it. To your point if we need more CVT or DCT bikes to get more riders then I'm ok with that too. That said none of these bikes are sport bikes and none of the will replace my Daytona 675, ZX-6R or even come close to the R750. I agree that the 8r is a better daily rider. Its way more comfortable than everything I've ridden in this "class". I rode the 8s right after the 8r and I would choose the 8r over the 8s because the 8r felt more comfortable and added wind protection. It's the 8s with fairings. The R7 is the MT-07 engine but major changes to suspension and geometry way more of a true sport bike feel. I wasn't happy about the Daytona 660(95bhp, 50.9ft-lbs of Torque, 443lbs, 56.12" Wheelbase) initially because I felt it would be the Trident with fairings but it gets much closer to the feel of a sport bike while being comfortable. The R7(72.4bhp, 49.4ft-lbs of Torque, Adjustable Suspension, 414.5lbs, 54.9" Wheelbase) feels more like a sport bike. The RS660(100bhp, 49.4ft-lbs of Torque, Adjustable Suspension, 403.4lbs, 53.9" Wheelbase) feels like a sport bike. I respect and appreciate everyones feelings and I can understand and see where this bike would be a great option for people and I hope it doesn't very well and gets more people riding.

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders I know a couple new riders that purchased this bike cause of the looks and how it felt to them..(Not having core strength I guess..dunno) I said it was too much bike to start on to both of em. They are using for transportation and I think its a great daily. So, it got two new riders that I know of personally out riding. They on me every day to go ride lmao. I think I said before these are more like the Honda VFR of years past..that sport touring type bike.

I would like to ask you to do a demo on the V-STROM 800 RE, if possible please. I think this frame and engine are best suited for a commuter bike. Good low to mid torque to get you out of trouble. Not enough top end to get you into trouble. Comfortable with a windscreen. And mid 40s mpg.

Ive ridden the 2023 but no film. Couldn't get a ride on the 24 at the demo. It is a good bike overall and would be a good commuting option. I am trying to get a regular Suzuki dealership and if I can I will get a film on this first thing.
