Totally agree The Accord is full size sedan like Crown and equipped with 2. L engine like Prius Camry is a medium size with 2.5 l engine

This is a nice looking vehicle and the MPG is crazy, I think they will sale well, I believe people are starting to have expensive big SUV and Truck fatigue. Affordable sedans along with small SUVs are the way to go for people on a budget.

I get triggered every time i hear "It looks like the prius" I think its more like the prius and the camry look like modern toyotas. The prius was just the first vehicle to debut the modern Toyota design language

I only wish the EV mode would do 5mi, vs. 1. Get to the gas station or do a small errand. I don't need 30mi range like the plug-ins, but a little more than 1 would seal the deal.

EV mode in a hybrid like this is technically pointless because of how small the battery is. Plus it can cause the battery to not last as long if used a lot.

I JUST this week took delivery of a KIA Niro EV in Wave trim and loving the tech inside. My partner has a 2023 Camry XLE AWD ICE and gets 23.0 mpg. His next leased car will definitely be a 2026 Camry XLE and I'm sure we'll appreciate the increased MPG over the ICE version. What we DON'T like is the nickle-and-dime add-ons for the Convenience Package (I rejected a Cross Hybrid for that reason) -- don't want a sunroof, but can't get Navigation without it; plus having a Toyota subscription for Navigation, their "SOS", and cellphone app features. My KIA comes with heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, and navigation as part of the trim. No need to pay for add-ons separately unless you do want mud flaps, floor mats, etc.

I just got this exact car 2 days ago (except it is the 2wd model and black) and yes I drive like a grand parent but my trip readings are saying I am getting more than 50mpg. One trip that was 10 miles said I got 67mpg.

All the new 2024 Camry now comes in Hybrid only with a 13.2 gallon gas tank. You can easily go over 550 miles on a single fill up. Pretty good range. This is much more nicer than the Accord Hybrid.

We HATED the Accord Hybrid -- they made the seat track smaller and someone over 6'2" cannot fit inside the driver's seat anymore! Camry is so much more comfortable (we have a 2023 XLE Camry).

@@Steve_in_NJ I have 4 vehicles two of them are hybrids. 2022 RAV4 XLE Hybrid in Silver and 2023 RAV4 SE Hybrid Cavalry Blue. Also have a 2021 Lexus GX 460. The Lexus GX 460 & both RAV4 Hybrids are assembled in Japan and they run perfect. I always use 91 premium octane fuel in all my vehicles Chevron only. I also have a 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV in Black. This Camry has the same powertrain and hybrid tech as my RAV4 Hybrids.

Hey Ben Hardy! Been watching your videos for a few years now and I am wondering how do you get these dealerships to say yes to you to drive them around/film these cars? Because I know their brand new and I would love to try to see if I can try the same as I live nearby a few dealerships, but am very skeptical that they would even give me an yes to allow me to drive their brand new cars. Ben, did you find the pedestrian alert system noise that emits in EV mode under 25mph loud and annoying?! I want a hybrid vehicle but that noise always seemed like something I might not get used to.

I must say I have really enjoyed both my Toyotas and my Hondas over my 30+ years of driving and so I’m a fan of both but I have to give it up to Toyota on this new Camry they really went pretty much all in and hands-down would choose this over the Accord in current generations of both.

Yeah Toyota has a winner on their hand, for most people, the hybrid makes the most sense, way more power and efficiency compared to the old 4 banger, it is not as fast as the V6, but not too far off. The take rate for the V6 was like 5% of all Camry sales so it just didn’t make sense for them to keep it

That's cuz they can only sell what they make and the EPA keeps forcing turbos on the whole industry. There's a reason Tacomas in manual are allocated weeks before they arrive on the lot, every time' but you'll see tons of unsold automatics sitting on dealer lots. And that was before the new astronomical '24 model price hikes lol

The accord is so much better, period. The honda is a much smoother ride, quiet interior, and more comfortable seats. I do like the awd on the camry.

Totally opposite.. Accord is junk now Camry now drives better than accord it's more comfortable and faster... It also handles better than accord.. More power and efficiency.. 360° camera.. Awd.. Rear ac vents in all trims.. Panoramic roof

This new Camry should get about 600 miles per tank. With that amount of range, it is hard to justify the premium for an EV.

@@Drg24800 the hybrid is most efficient at speeds lower than 30 mph. Like me I drive most speeds above 65 mph. Plus I would have all the maintenance of a ice vehicle as well.

It’s okay, but I don’t see anything shocking to the industry, lol. Toyota’s are definitely a good value overall, but they’re not very exciting and the tech is just okay.
