This is a real time recording from the bow of my narrowboat from when I cruised up the Macclesfield canal in September 2019, from Hall Green stop lock, through Congleton, to near Bridge 65. Towards the end there's a bit of a pause while I waited for another boat to come through two bridges close together but I do move on again after that for a bit before finally coming to a halt.

I wish my father in law was still alive to watch these. LINCOLNSHIRE born, went to sea at 16 in 1939 as a sailor on cargo ships in the North Atlantic, rose to become an officer of the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, and finished his working career in Canada as a naval accident investigator for the government. Passed away at 96 on July 1st, 2019

I'm so in love with this landscape and livestyle, the freedom and dignity this has. Over here in Germany they're after socalled Tiny Houses now, those who are sick of the crowded, noisy and dusty city centers, of career and status! But what could be better than a floating less tiny house in a beautyful landscape, with a good infrastructure all along the way!

Just found your channel today and what a delight. I've had this video up on my tv and it's been a lovely and meditative thing to watch. Prior to current days I visited the UK once or twice a year and while I'd seen narrow boats and canals here and there this is one area of the culture I've yet to really explore and will make a point to do so upon my return, hopefully sooner than later! Cheers

I am a person who studies construction . I truly believe the best engineer stuff is the simplest that requires the least maintenance. For this reason I love your videos of the canal's. I love studying the old bridges ,yes this may just be a bridge but it is a deep engineering study to me. , or for example that drylok you had your boat reblacked in . Or the canal locks. Even these simple not a vlogs give me an immense amount to study. I love simple things that work. The canal system works.

Wonderful, just wonderful! So peaceful, you have the sound of the water, the low hum of the engine, the occasional addition of the sound of swooshing water, the sound of birds, dogs barking, the engine revving down as you have passersby, lots of wonderful scenery, pigeons and dogs, and nature of wonder. And, then the low flying bird and front duck attack at 2:35:00!

I occationally found your video and instantly loved it, I used the videos as my working ambience, and when I wanna take a coffee break, I just slide back to the page and see you going through the beautiful sceneries. The views really broght LOTS of memories back when my gf and I stayed in Coventry and Glasgow for under and post grad international students. Now we all back to our country but the memories of the distinct views of middle England---sunny, brightness, the blue skys and greens, and the flight passes over our heads, it just feel so relaxing, peaceful and warm. You may easily self-financed by just easily working 9 hrs a day then you can do whatever you want, and nobody cares. Man the videos brought all the missing back, maybe I will visit England again in the future, when I finished my PhD and get a job so that I can pay for the trip, and also if my gf is still with me.

As always a soothing, relaxing video. The sounds of animals, the rumble of the engine and the quite of the water. You may see a small ring wave,s the sign of a fish taking an insect. The beauty of the stone arch bridge. The only distraction is the joggers or rather cute young lady walking her dog. You know that the trains are on a tight time run since they can be heard as they wiz by quite often. thanks for the nap, I become so relaxed that I just have to study the inside of my eyelids for a while, z z z z z z z
