A million thanks for giving my son a demo. That was his first ever demo btw. You did a hell of a job with that build. These videos don't do it anything close to justice.

Dear Parker, I hope this letter finds you well. I am an ardent follower of your KZfaq channel and I must say, I am completely in awe of the work you do. Your passion and joy for car audio are evident in every video you put out, and it truly sets you apart from others in the field. Your tutorials and demonstrations have taught me so much about car audio and have expanded my knowledge immensely. With your guidance, I was able to build my own system, starting from a skar loaded package with a 1500 watt amp to a taramps 5k Smart Bass on 2 sundown zv3, sundown sfb 8k, 2 skar zvx15s with a JP 43 pushing them with 2 kinetic blu 1200 with big 3 and a 270amp high output alt from excessive amperage. I can’t begin to express the pride and joy I felt after completing such a significant project. Unfortunately, life has thrown some curveballs my way recently. My wife fell ill and after a series of hospital visits and a draining period of uncertainty, our savings were depleted. I was also laid off from work, leaving us without an income and forcing us to sell some of our possessions in order to keep the lights on and pay rent. This included selling my system, a decision that broke my heart. Despite these hardships, I find solace in your videos. Watching you continue to do what you love inspires me and brings me joy. Thanks to you, I have become a basshead and I look forward to the day I can rebuild my system, hopefully with the same brands you use. Parker, your channel has been a beacon of light during these dark times. Your enthusiasm for car audio has truly inspired me and helped me discover a passion I never knew I had. I eagerly await the day I can return to building and come to a show to give you a demo of my work, a testament to how much you have inspired me. Thank you for all you do, Parker. You are a true inspiration. Sincerely, Chris J Ellis Fan and follower of the man that is becoming the salvation for car audio and a beacon of truth that is leading to consumers no longer being lied to and tricked by companies that use max wattage and other misleading information about their products to fool consumers into believing they are getting more than they really are. Sorry for the book dude but Thank you from me and all the bassheads who are discovering they are a basshead and the OG bassheads too. BASS ON UNTIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF (then still keep on)

A tip I've learned from using sound deadening is to make sure the metal surface you're sticking in to is thoroughly cleaned with isopropyl alcohol or some sore of degreasing agent that doesn't leave a residue. The material will stick better and stay there forever. Do the same for the material that you were sticking the new stuff to so it sticks better to that surface as well.

And of it falls off anyways, or you want it to never fall off, DONT USE the cheaper 3m spray adhesive. Or the gorilla glue one. Because those suck, u need headliner adhesive or the 3m 90, which is the more expensive one.

It looks like you have the 3n1 Sky High Deadner with foam. That should be the single last layer used on top of deadner and can be cut in smaller pieces to fit better as the foam prevents contouring 80mil/120mil/200mil butyl from them is what you needed mostly, goodluck on the progress
@ParkerTheBasshead
@ParkerTheBasshead 11 ай бұрын
Ahhh ok the listing just said 160mil deadener and I assumed it was the heavier duty stuff
@JasonWW2000
@JasonWW2000 11 ай бұрын
@@ParkerTheBassheadThis foam layer is usually meant to be placed under the carpet to isolate road noise. Its not a "mass damper" like the thinner, heavier stuff. Ideally you need to bolt a steel plate to the hatch door. An extra 20 or 30 pounds would help stiffen it a lot. A couple pounds of traditional mass damper is not going to do much. The air from the port is very strong. Bolting or clamping the hatch shut is another option.

I've seen other builders use wood to shield their back hatch, something like you would build on your car doors to prevent damage but they used wood, probably could still use deadener on it still for extra protection. Probably could use foam behind the wood to seal it. For the number plate you can use thin weather strip on the back of the plate to prevent that from rattling as well.

Yo idk if someone else has mentioned, the deadeners are 2 separate entities. The typical stuff is butyl rubber deadener and it is intended to add mass and lower the resonance of panel. The other stuff is closed cell foam, and is intended as a top layer over the butyl deadener, and has the same effect as an empty room with no carpet and adding carpet to it. It kinda helps more with high frequencies, and the possible echoing or bouncing around and repetition of those sound waves. The close cell foam is not intended to add mass. Thats the difference to my knowledge, might be a helpful tip to pass on to the boys 🤷‍♀️ love the build 🤙
