Covert narcissists wait until you're alone to say really outrageous things, and if you tell anyone else about it, they think it's you that's a problem.

I truly didn’t know what I was dealing with for 20 years until the discard phase of the relationship. I had no clue . I just knew that I was being psychologically and emotionally destroyed from the inside out by my ex. This guy was stealthy AF . Everyone else couldn’t see it.

I honestly feel a person who is just being jerk or mean is much better than narcissists.

Being a narcissist sounds unbelievably exhausting. To be constantly working on manipulation or constantly thinking about how to get things out of people, that sounds so time-consuming and exhausting!

My ex-friend looks nice and kind, but he divorced twice and his first spouse ran away from home🏃‍♀🏃‍♀ He is a nice guy in public, but he acts unkind behind the closed doors. So sad.😥

The "eyes" , voice, body language.... The Eyes always give away.... Eyes, mirror to soul, passive aggressive, watch expression. I delt with a recent manager, in short...I went on offensive....he cowardly, went no comment....on email / social. I kept direct, short responses, controlled this controller, haven't sen him and his flying monkey's. Waiting for part 2, of this saga...but, I have confidence..." pisses them off !!" I control my reality / not their gas lighting kindergarten games...." peace

The only one I ever knew was a stranger on Facebook. A predator, hacker and stalker. That's a covert narcissist.

My wife's sister is an obvious overt narcissist. I tried for years to protect her from her sister. Because she would make her look like a fool, and she had no idea. imagine my surprise when I figured out that my wife was much, much worse than her sister. The years of abuse I've been through in order to "save the marriage" have been torture. I cannot stand her anymore. iI do not like her, do not love her, do not trust her. But...we own a house and business together, so making the final break is difficult.

I've been burned by covert narcissists who were more than likely jealous of me, and I didn't even know what I was dealing with at the time. But now I know, and I can spot some of then who try to slide into my life. I currently know a narc whose life didn't go the way she lazily (insert entitlement) expected it to, which caused a rift in her marriage, so she decided that starting a family would solve all her problems (or hide them/keep her spouse attached to her).🤦‍♀

Married to one for 29 yrs. A game of concealment and control. They are emotionally empty. It's all a game of hide & seek. Really wish I'd known about this stuff at a much earlier age.

The covert narcissist I’m dealing with (narc mother) also has rabid rage attacks! She checks all the boxes of a covert narcissist, but when things aren’t going her way, becomes unrelentingly aggressive: Slamming things down on the counter, throwing things, clomping around the house, making loud noises, snatching and grabbing things, displaying extreme impatience, talking over you, cutting you off, stomping out of the room, slamming doors, having temper tantrums and extreme mood swings, but can also have the sly, stealth, “victimy” behaviors. They weave in and out of covert and overt aggression because they are emotionally dysregulated. The only way they can regulate is through their targets of abuse. It’s extremely exhausting to deal with their crazy antics.

Rebecca, you rock. I have a pretty interesting situation going on. I have two narcissists who have combined their evil ways and got me kicked out of my own house and arrested. I needed the rental income because of my circumstances and I rented a room inside my house to Angelo Edward Harrington, and I provided utilities to George Aponte for his camper. The two have made countless false accusations and reports to Pinellas County Sheriff's Office deputies. Deputy Christy is a bad apple. The three of them jumped me in my own home last Sunday night and arrested me. The charge was trespassing and now the State of Florida has added a caveat to the charge and attached a no contact order. I have a GPS monitor on my ankle. The judge seemed to understand the situation without saying so of course. She released me on my own recognizance although the bond could have been $5,000. I have been in the process of trying to addicted to for several weeks and because of changing laws and ordinances here in Pinellas County Florida I'm doing something wrong and the deputies after I believed I had lawfully evicted Harrington allow him back into my house where he is right. Harrington threaten my life and the life of my dog. I reported it on the non-emergency and much more I have made a paper trail and an audio trip and a video trail of everything. I'm holed up in a hotel I cannot afford with my dog Izzy. My entire day is spent obsessing and trying to put everything together that should take the two criminals in my house down and certain deputies at the Pinellas County Sheriff's. And wildly Rebecca this ain't my first rodeo. 6 years ago I was falsely arrested hideki Michael Darrow. The case was nolle prossed after three terrifying months. Case got dropped only because I requested the 911 audio The operator was grossly negligent. But they already had the trial set in the man involved had been subpoenaed against his will. They wanted my blood then and they might want it again. I'm almost 59 years old. My record is crystal clear. I had this domestic charge expunged. It wasn't a domestic. The man had been a tenant but nobody would listen to me. Anyway I've just recently found your channel flipping amazing. I think that I'm doing a lot of the things that you teach it somehow I knew how to handle things intuitively. I need some traffic on my channel and would appreciate comments, subscriptions and likes. I'm not good at self but this story is going to get told. I'm almost completely broke but I own my house outright and I have my dog and that's going to get me through. Because it's not about just me. I've seen firsthand what's been going on with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office deputies for years and at the jail. Local media is bought and refuses to report on most of the truth. Absolutely amazing serendipity has fallen into my life these last few days and I'm going to take this opportunity to stand up against this evil. I am an empath, a highly sensitive person and I refused to be criminalized and bullied and terrorized any longer.

My narc coworker once came in screaming because her mother "didn't seem worried enough" about an upcoming eye surgery she had scheduled. Knowing the nature of this coworker, my thoughts were that her mother simply was just sick and tired of hearing about this eye surgery multiple times a day for several weeks. This coworker has needed a few eye surgeries over the course of a year or so, and they NEVER shut up about it. We're all SO SICK of hearing about this woman's eyes all the time 😒

I hit mine head on right between the eye balls for the very 1st time, it felt sooooo good to me.. and of course he is hiding away now pretending he is the poor victim, who cares what he is doing.. god they are classic aren't they!!! .. I can’t even believe it! My MIL has all 21+ of these signs.. She is 86 and is very smart but loves to play naive and is always the victim in every circumstance.. she lives with us full time and it is the most exhausting thing I’ve ever done in my life 😩

My narc is covert. She sneaks around setting traps and manufacturing scenarios in desperate attempts to drag you into her vortex. If you sat down with her you wouldn't get a word in. She's all me-me-me and anything you've done, she's done it ten times by royal decree and exceeds even your best achievement. When she attacks, she doesn't yell. She hisses. Like a snake. Sneaky, cunning and utterly poisonous.

It is amazing how many of these things routinely apply to my STBE wife, a covert. I didn't put it all together until recently. Whenever we talked about something tough, like her excessive spending, she'd just start crying and I'd go into "protector" mode and would just figure out ways to handle the situation.

Omgoodness I was ready to click Off and watch later as I’m at my kids softball practice. He’s been sick. Boy does he play it. Today, I waited until his nurse was 15 minutes into her visit (planned with her) (home healthcare) I had just recorded him half an hour earlier cussing me out about HIS imitated clothing and diapers he puts BESIDE the respective containers; and he was nice as pie. She had already seen and heard different. He was abusivo with the hospital staff and now they are finally Listening and he’s getting a psych evaluation.

No, nothing is ever good enough. It sucks. I have to be calm and deal with this ajile soon so I have to cut out. For older like me (60), gaslighting is what we used to call nitpicking. Oh that oh poor me was amazing today until I walked in while the home healthcare nurse was there. He was singing my praises!!! He was pissed I just walked 21:14 out of the house when he started a little earlier. Got home and his face got red. Nurse asked why. I told her outside which ticked him Off more. She went back and took his vitals again. The Old Dude has issues to answer for now. 😂❤

I consider myself an "EXPERT" at knowing how to recognize and "Dress Down" a narcissist once I'm sure they are true NATURAL BORN narcissist.

I have been doing a survey among kids particularly girls and found about 40 %. Stone walling and guilt tripping are very common traits. Victim playing is also another such thing.

I'm at the point now I have to go to the police. The threats and harassment thru email..google photos( which i didn't know was a thing to tag ppl in) bothering my elderly dad at his house enough is enough. I have rights as a human to have peace and boundaries.

Question: A thief left behind evidence at the scene of the theft of my things from my room. Am I obligated to return said evidence? I did not return it the first time. Damned if he didn’t do it again. Left two phones in my room when he was stealing. There is currently a third phone missing (I took my old android and set it up for him. He pays.)edit: he left a second phone (the new one!) right in the middle of my bed. He almost fell down the stairs getting out of my room before I walked inside. He didn’t know if pulled in the other direction and was watching him through the cut glass door. I think if you are stupid enough to leave evidence at the scene of the crime, the victim has no “duty” to return the left behind evidence to the thief.
