You are SPOT ON with the sky problem I feel like the development for the depths shouldve gone to making more interesting, larger, and better sky islands

My god you won’t believe which geoglyph I did first 😭 I ignored the quest from Impa and had no idea that the geoglyphs had memories and then I made the mistake of clicking on the little pool of water in the knife geoglyph. I’m pretty sure I would have had more of an emotional reaction to this one IF I HADNT SEEN IT FIRST

I’m sad that they removed guardians, the gloom hands are fine and all but walking around in hyrule field for the first time and randomly hearing the guardian theme just can’t be beat by “oooo scary now the sky’s red oh no my heath bye bye”

The sage powers felt less useful and more tedious to activate. Part of what made Revali's Gale so helpful was how smoothly it was integrated into your inputs. It was easy and quick to use but difficult to activate on accident. Daruk's shield was passive with shielding, Mipha's was passive when dying, and Urbosa's was just another attack option so it wasn't a big deal. This time we have to play babysitter and force them to stop moving around and tell them to give us the power to activate whatever it is. Also the map sucks. It was fine before but there are way too many things for this outdated mapping system. The only way to gauge the relative altitude of the sky Islands is seeing what shade of brown they are. The stickers for the map are too limited despite all of the new things in this game compared to BotW. It's too difficult to track progress. Here's an example: There's a thing you can get for beating every single one of certain overworld monsters but unless you know that from the start and were keeping track, the only way to check is to go to each area one by one and see if you defeated it. There's no other record. Even for Bubbulgems, Koltin would give you hints but then suddenly he couldn't tell anymore. It's like Nintendo went out of their way to make these aspects of the game tedious. I understand if it wasn't an intended part of the game but these are literally in-game collectibles that they nudge you towards. Also, Master Cycle By the way, what's the name of the song you used during the last point when you mentioned Cass not returning?

I absolutely HATED that most of the shrines were in caves. It was always impossible to use the shrine detector to find shrines, because it would just lead you to the shrine, not to the cave entrance. I usually had to search up where the cave was- 😅

Everyone hates the sages 😕 I love them sometimes they pull off the sickest combos and I like watching them get thrown around too. Also yes I spent sooo long in early game looking for my boi Kass 🥲 I was super disappointed when I gave up and finally looked it up and seen he is really gone. Only one reference of him and it's not even from his kids. 🤦🏽‍♀️

One thing I absolutely despise about TOTK is that some enemies (lynels and gleeoks) break your Zonai contraptions. I can't even use my death roombas against them!

As you mentioned, regarding fusing items with the bow, such as the 5-shot bows, players should to be able to interchange the fused stuff on the arrows like change every arrows individualy.

One thing you forgot to add to the hate list is kass's kids are still there

I do not understand why people miss Revalis Gale. There are like 50+ ways of getting vertical distance in this game and also Revalis Gale had cooldown. The story of TotK is good. It just suffers from being implemented in the exact same way as breath of the wild.

#22 the power powers of the sages are decent at times, and during those times, THEY RUN AWAY FROM YOU WHEN YOU WANT TO USE THEM. #23 I got a 'Learn to use bullet time' shrine. 60 hours in. and a CROUCHING SHRINE 120 HOURS IN

thing I hated the most was probably the skyview puzzles as you spend like 30 minutes slowly finding each tower than you have to do this 5-30 minute puzzle (assuming you aren't using a guide) to unlock the tower. Also accidentally using sage abilities and how your champions sometimes "cannot be summoned" *cough yunoba*

the thing i hate is that after beating all of the temples you get the same story (besides the spirit temple)

In defense of the dungeons, I see the activating terminals thing like getting several boss keys. It’s the same concept all four times, but because that’s how the dungeons function rather than it being just a copied gimmick.

Really wish the sky islands were more varied, at least in challenges, and maybe just a bit more, it got a bit sad when you get one of the towers and then there are just a few places to go to up there. And the depths I really wish it was more varied and smaller, maybe like X amount of depth locations that where unqiuely designed and varied and filled with more puzzles and just, not a bunch of fluffy. I say that out of love though because I do love this game

I liked finding the dragon tears. I like the story and this one made them way easier to find than BOTW, where I had to decipher a picture.

I miss Kass, but when you think about it, Yona came from another land which you find out through dialogue. So either Kass went to some other land to find more inspiration for new songs, or he had a heart attack. but I just like to think the first option.

Is there any way to get the memories in order, because I had none at the start of the game, and after playing BOTW, I wanted to get the mater sword from korok forest and randomly got that memory, but what are you meant to do to get them in the right order? Also, I feel like if you haven't played BOTW, you'll get stuck a lot.

I honestly I like the sage abilities alot better than the old chanpion abilities the only champion ability that I did use was revalis gale but u dont even need that anymore in this game since there are so many other options i agree with how repetetive the sky and depths are but i do love some locations are different and are uniqe and the labyrinths and in the depths the yiga hideouts, colleseums, and abandoned mines. The dungeons didnt feel very repetetive to me because they all had there different, themes, bosses, soundtrack, and puzzles even though it includes the activate four things mechanic i doubt they could create a traditional dungeon with links broken abilities and all Zelda bosses arent particularly hard anyway so it didn't suprise me but queen Gibdo and the final boss did. The story was great just dont rush it and follow the correct order and its fine and i understand that the previous game wasnt mentioned much but nintendo probably wanted to invite new players that havent played botw. Maybe Kass might show up in dlc because hes mentioned by his wife, children, and the clover gazzette guy.

Does anyone elses inventory just lag? I swear I combined a zora sword (I dont remember if it was one of the swords or the longspear) with a stalnox horn and it said it did 74 damage, but as soon as I closed my invetory and than opened it up later again, it decreased the damage to 32?

Somehow I got the tear memories in order and I now have no clue how I did it. I got them in order and when people started complaining and talking about how they spoiled the story for themselves I didn’t understand cause I just thought the next memory in the correct order would appear in whatever glyph I found and it wasn’t until later I realized that that’s not how that works💀 kinda sucks that they added a bigger story element to this game only for players to be able to spoil the whole thing for themselves.

I didn’t know people really had a problem with the memories I actually really like them they give you an insight in the story and they give you a break from getting spammed by Lionel‘s specially the silver mane the only thing I really found tedious is the fact that they don’t have DOC for the game so after you complete everything there’s nothing else to do and we want the light bill back do they have like do they have the lightbulbs I need my arrows my light arrows

Activating Riju's ability is the worst of all. You need to use a long range weapon after interacting with a close range fighter. Total BS.

The repetitive sage cutscenes were the first thing I thought of! It’s just the same old story told by every Sage’s point of view. Even my mom noticed it and thought it was kind of annoying.

One thing I hate is that they didn't mix up the allies enough. I love how they swapped Teba for Tulin, gave us a sense that this was a different game. But why do we have to bring back the other three? Riju would be fine if she actually had an arc, but NOPE! Sidon was pretty decent and had a good arc concept, but the arc was rushed and now apparently he can manipulate water? And other Zora can heal wounds??? I thought that was exclusive to Mipha!! And Yunobo... why him? He was already shown to have one power of his ancestor, why did he lose that and gain another?? And another thing: you're spot on about the sages. Besides Mineru (whose ability sucks) these guys feel like bland rehashes of the Champions. I mean the past Sages. The current sages aren't that bad (especially Tulin) but the past sages had several bad things about them. One was that they had not a drop of personality and are... too formal. It's fine to hear a Zora, Rito or Gerudo with this tone, but it feels so awkward with a Goron speaking formally. That's, like, their whole thing. They aren't formal. They slang, they laugh, they joke... listen to the Goron City theme then listen to the sage's voice and tell me they sound like they fit. Also, they seem really proud and boastful, for no reason. This is something my friend pointed out: during the cutscene, they're all like 'even my strongest attack' like, yeah, we get it, you guys couldn't do a thing, get on with it. And they even start with 'I would expect nothing less from my ancestor'. The worst part though, is that the current sages don't have any chemistry neither with each other, nor with Ganondorf. For the Ganondorf thing, I guess it makes sense for Sidon, Yunobo and Tulin to have nothing special. But Riju? She's the queen of the Gerudo: the place he came from. And he doesn't say anything specific to her? And the previous Lightning Sage didn't even say anything along the lines about this matter, other than one line I forgot, which still sucked. As for the chemistry between the current sages, the closest we really get to see is the meeting at Lookout Landing, and even then we don't get funny lines. There's also the Demon King's Army, but that's in the last segment of the game. In fact, the closest any of them come to acknowledging the others' presence is after the Phantom Ganon boss rush and the flashback, where Tulin lands on Yunobo's shoulder. That's pretty much it. So annoying...

This game was pretty cool like the first hour I guess but then after that it just became annoying with all the connect things that you have to do it just was overkill and a way to waste time they should’ve focused more on the story
