Good effort! I’m in a similar situation where the Express is not starting up correctly. Guessing a bad capacitor.

I have a DELTA ELECTRONICS INC. power supply in my A1264. The model number for my power supply is: "ADP-6AF B" It is a 1.8A 3.3V power supply.

Nice! Just got a 2nd gen one at a flea market for real cheap -- wwwaaay tidier inside; one 3v3 line that's missing ... if push rreally comes to shove, I'll just give it a micro-usb in and a buck converter

Unos dispositivos internos del AirPort trabajan con 5v y otros con 3.3v. Solo tienes que identificar cuáles son los que trabajan en esos voltajes. En mi caso muy sencillo debido a que los cables vienen de diferentes colores. Posterior a eso suministras la corriente y SI FUNCIONA. el mío quedó funcional, ya lo probé con el cable de red y si está funcionando como router. Ahora bien, entiendo que podría en cualquier momento volver a descomponerse pero solo es suposición. Mientras lo usaré. Saludos amigos

Tengo un dispositivo idéntico al que le pasó lo mismo, explotó alguna resistencia tal vez por sobre calentamiento, no se porque, pero eso ocurrió. La fuente original quedó echada a perder sin posibilidad de salvarla. Pero en la fuente viene una etiqueta que soluciona el problema que te está pasando

3:00 Where are the antennas located? I suppose the second generation is more or less a form factor thing with an extra LAN port. This has WAN and LAN in one port. Where are the antennas? This thing should support WLAN connectivity without dropouts when using two of these and hopping around in da house.

reversed polarity/labels wrong? maybe the protection diode doing it's job :) looks like test points behind the connector, maybe the labels are for them instead. test connector in diode test setting, test from the other labeled test points grd and 3.3v to the connector pins.

throttle bottle - yes after doing the video I tested from a shield to the wires and did indeed find that they were reversed, and the markings were for the test pads, swapped the connections around and it powered up, using between 500ma and 900ma depending upon point in its startup, I shouldn't of trusted the markings, I should of just tested from the shield in the first place!

I've been bitten that way before! i think total current is around 2.1A on those, with the usb port and wireless under full power/usage

Those markings are test points, daft to put opposite by Apple confusing any homebrew fixes, I was having the same issue as you with my A1264, finally got it working when I switched polarity and tada a mostly working Airport, sorta realised that from a Chinese forum where someone was modding an A1264 into a stereo system f1.hifidiy.net/forum/forumid_2/1209121429fe4efac92e6bca8d.jpg was how I worked that out, he's soldered his neutral onto a test point, and soldered directly to the 3x 3.3v rail

i have the same problem in power switching: 2 condensator 400v/10mf and 400v/6,8mf dead and PWM control DAP6A in short in pin 4 e 5. In pin 8 there is un diode zener in short but don't know the valor.....help me
