I’m a retired LE Firearms instructor & armorer. I learned something valuable from this video. I really liked how you “seated” the action in the stock and gradually torqued the action screws. Nice. Makes sense. Thanks! 👍🏻

Almost identical look to my rifle! Same stock and trigger! Mine is just in 6 Creed! Awesome video series, can't wait to see how it shoots!

Awesome- how's the 6mm Creedmoor treating you? I'm planning something- already have the Starline brass. Perhaps a RPR barrel conversion???
@posjoey
@posjoey 5 жыл бұрын
gavintoobe I'm a big fan of the 6 creedmoor. Got 107 smks going 3150. If I do my part it will shoot .4 - .5 moa. I get repeatable and consistent impacts out to 1200 yards. Just got some ADG brass and Barnes 112 match burners in. Gonna see how those two components get along. I find it a little more difficult to hand load for, 6.5 seems easier. But I'm not the most experienced reloader. Hope you do get a 6mm, I love to see your results!

Man it’s impressive all these videos turn out so great with perfect intros and outros. I know it can get confusing making multiple videos at one time remembering what you have and haven’t said for each video. Like my 1200 Yard Milk Jug Challenge I totally forgot to do an intro haha oh well. Great work as always! Curious to see how it shoots!

Nice build! I have a remington 700 in 308, bought a triggertech trigger and a KRG bravo chassis. I had the same trouble for the front screw and came up with the same solution. I didnt had any spacer on the buttstock, I build it last winter and its cold here so I had multiple layer on me anyway but now I just get used to it even in the summer. I will had a strike eagle next month... I will take a look at your videos! keep up the good work.

Could you do an affordable "custom" hunting build with appropriate stock, barrel nut barrels, affordable action for those of us without access to machine shop tools?

I'm completely new to long range shooting, would I need to get bottom metal for a barreled upper if I get this stock? Say I buy a factory tikka t3x lite that runs their proprietary mags, would I be able to remove it from the stock and be able to just plop it down into the KRG and run AI mags? And thanks for running through your build process! Makes everything look a lot less intimidating.

Awesome video series! I learned a ton. And it was entertaining. Thanks a lot for it. One question: why didn't you glass-bed the barreled action into the stock? Isn't that always preferable?
@Ultimatereloader
@Ultimatereloader 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! This chassis is machined so that you don't need to glass bed- so far so good on that!

Does your bravo have an aluminum or polymer bolt release? If its polymer which extension did you purchase? I'm considering the bravo and read on their website for an August 2018 update they switched to a polymer mag release

Have you compared Trigger Tech triggers against Huber Concepts’ triggers?

Nope! I do plan to do TriggerScan comparisons in the future however!
@charleshetrick3152
@charleshetrick3152 5 жыл бұрын
I’m not familiar with “TriggerScan”, I have three rifles running Hubers and they’re ridiculously perfect. I brought it up cause I was looking at Trigger Tech for my ARs but after talking with a trigger tech employee I got the impression that set to their lowest resistance I’d be in jeopardy of a negligent discharge. Huber specifies they’ll pass the FBI’s rough handling test. Any how keep up the good work.

$550 - barrel blank, $100 bolt mods, $400 stock, $100 extra parts, $40 scope rail, $200 trigger - so say about $1500 + labor + optics at the end of the day??? I gave myself a great deal on the gunsmithing labor :) :)
@stevenl7878
@stevenl7878 5 жыл бұрын
@@Ultimatereloader Wow, that's an expensive barrel for a blank. I figured the barrel blank would be cheaper than an already reamed/threaded barrel. My 223 REM Match Criterion was only $300 and it was ready to bolt on.

Beach&BoardFan I own a lot of Jewell triggers, for both my bolt guns and my AR15s, they are phenomenal triggers for sure, but I also own a lot of Triggertech triggers for my bolts and ARs also. But I went with the Triggertech Diamond Model triggers for my bolts instead. They are all great quality triggers whether you choose Jewell or Triggertech, you can’t go wrong with either!
