233 - Maintenance Time | Must-Do Maintenance For Your John Deere 430 Oil Change/Fuel Water Separator

Today we are getting the John Deere 430 ready for spring mowing season. We will be changing the oil and installing an oil filter part number M806418. This is a substitute for the original part number AM101378. While we have it open for some maintenance we also are replacing part number AM101004 fuel water separator. The one I installed is not a OEM filter from Deere, it is a replacement one from Amazon.
Disclaimer: I am not a professional and have not doe this kind of repairs before but I am a certified KZfaq mechanic.

Have you ever had to change the coolant pump in your 430? I sure would like some directions for how this is done.

I have not but your local dealer should be able to get you in the right direction.

Do you think my locat "Advanced Auto Store" will carry the oil filter and gas / H2O filter separator?

Oil filter they might… I know it can cross over to other brands. The fuel water separator I doubt they will. For it you may have to get it from Amazon or a local mower store.
