In my family. When they say ceviche , they default to shrimp. I actually prefer Peruvian style ceviche if its fish.

I think it depends where you from for sure because same as the other person ceviche in my family defaults to shrimp and even when we visiting family in Mexico its the same it usually has shrimp, at least where we go.

Yes, in my family is also made with fish. Sometimes when we feel fancy we add fish, shrimp, and octopus.
