What do you think? Is it worth the $25?!?

Have you seen Adam Savage's behind the scenes videos of frozen empire? They used Hasbro proton packs made for Afterlife as bases to build various prop packs for the new movie. Faster, lower cost builds with the basics already there, like how Dr. Who was using toy sonic screwdrivers to build the props used in later seasons. Fancying up the toys was faster, cost less, and the props were more durable than the complete scratch build versions.

All things considered, this Regal trap is pretty good. The light is pretty weak and the button to the door does not really work, but it looks decent enough of a movie prop.

It’s $5 extra for the popcorn…….they had plenty today (Thursday showings). If you are wanting one don’t wait bc scalpers are already on it 🙄. Well worth $25 just for a light up display……IF you don’t have a trap already.

Great Ghostbuster Trap Review, really enjoyed watching it. I do have the 4" mini replica that comes complete with lights, sounds, and full-color sticker book. I saw it at the checkout counter at a Barnes & Noble a year or two ago and had to get it. It brought back good childhood memories. Hope I get to see you again at a con - Bucky

AMC also has a ghost trap popcorn bucket for $40. I think the AMC has better weathering on the paint, and there is a separate clear purple plastic addition that actually holds the popcorn that fits snuggly in the trap. The interior lights up, but that's it.

Bought one for $25 and I don’t regret it! $39.99 was a bit steep for me at AMC, so this is a good alternative

It’s worth $25, but normal people can’t buy them for that. Scalpers are in the Facebook groups showing pictures of the dozens they bought to “resell” for $100 a piece. No one will buy them for that, but it rakes them out of circulation.

Early Afternoon on 21st I went to my local Regal and was told "sorry, we had an extremely limited stock and already sold out". What a bummer! But I was able to buy one on Regal's website the next morning. 👍

I have the Regal popcorn bucket. The lights on mine don't turn on when opening the trap doors. Is there a different switch to turn it on?

How’s cleaning, is there holes in the bottom for drainage?

I was able to order one on the 23rd. Mine arrived slightly damaged , the part up by handle that holds the doors had come off luckily, I was able to pop it and doors back on

AMC got their own trap. I don't have Regal where I live. But the AMC trap is good enough for me.

The buttons on the front of the Regal trap do move but the round ones.

That Instagram post must've been taken down. I don't find it. I was looking for this and called AMC (they have a trap also) and was able to speak to someone. Regal forces you to talk to machine. Can't get through to the theater itself.

I am not a fan at all of the new Ghostbusters and will catch it when it comes to streaming, but I still think that looks pretty cool and worth 25 bucks if you are into it. I wonder what the new GxK movie will have as a popcorn bucket.

See I count on scalpers f****** everything up whenever they can so I am not worried about getting a ghost trap popcorn bucket, I instead purchased five of the Hasbro trap/pke combo has lab that they put out. I got one for myself to go along with my haslab proton pack (that I wish I had purchased more of at the time now) and I got four others mainly because I do plan on reselling them but I'm not going to resell them for four times the price or even double the price I'm going to sell them for maybe $100 or so dollars more just to get mine for free and other people won't have to pay an arm and a leg if they weren't able to purchase them originally during the month for so long that the haslab was around and active for. I'm not looking to get rich I'm not constantly looking to f*** everybody over for my own benefit, if I can get mine for free by ordering a few more and selling them for a slightly raised price can own one then I'm doing right by the community as far as I'm concerned. I'm not set a reminder to call 4 times the price like they are the popcorn buckets, trying to turn their original investment into a 400% profit. It's f****** disgusting and the greed is what destroys the community for everybody. Similar to house Cinemark lied about their slimer bucket and said that it looks like something that is entirely different from what actually I mean it's certainly slimer just much more relatable to the cartoon real Ghostbusters slimer as opposed to the movie slimer like it was supposed to.
