Saturday, Oct 10, I did my first ever motorcycle track day on my Aprilia RSV4. It was overwhelming the amount of things you have to know in order to be any good at getting around the track efficiently. I learned so much about what I was doing wrong. And this video covered the major one: Body position. This is great info! Thanks, Alberto!!

It's the same when you play musical instruments : you repeat the same exercise regularly until it becomes "muscle memory" and you don't have to think about it anymore, it just becomes a natural movement.

Your advice really resonating. Great your doing this in English (for us lazy folks). I’m only about 18 months starting on track, I so wish I had the this at the beginning of that journey. Still not too late. One of my best lessons is to run at 80% of ability so you are not overwhelmed and you can focus without sh*#*ing yourself. Also concentrate on one thing at a time. Great vid.

I appreciate your content. Very useful and I highly recommend track riding for anyone who rides street. It helps focus on fundamentals described in this video. Sure there is a world of difference and I would argue more dangerous on street. I.E. bad motorists but if you can practice so that all you learn on track is muscle memory, It can make you a safer more competent rider. Which translates into more enjoyment. Great vid!

Your step-by-step instructions with the rationale behind them are excellent and helpful! I would like to know more about inside foot/ankle position. Ball of the foot tucked out of the way in by the peg pivot or out on the tip? Ankle open (>90 deg) or bent more to carry my weight? I see pros doing it both ways. Thank you!

Thanks you very much for video and knowlage you share. I've been training for two years to be a better rider on the road and track. I think that I'm now track day addicted :-) I loved it. I know how difficult it is to resist the temptation to do better and better lap times. I realize how much more I have to learn and I realize that such pushing does not teach anything. Only way to get better on that is practice at a slow speed and repeat it indefinitely until it becomes our second nature. One thing is great about it. This learning is endless. Thanks for the valuable tips.

I am loving your vids man. I’m that guy at the age of wanting another bike but statistically according to stats and records the y keep I fall tight in to that guys that rode a lot in my younger y ears then stopped For awhile and now I want to start up again and try and get some track time with an instructor. I’m a little wiser now then before and chill out on the bike and learn and practice good technique. I’m probably not thre wisest doing it on a gsxr1000r . I feel I can handle it if I’m smart and gradually get better .. I’ll soak in any expertness you have to spare sir. Thanks again
