This repair actually looked easier than it really was. Because of the FET short gate to source, we had a lot of impedance mismatch. This makes it difficult for you to interpret the measurement results... On video, you saw the short version :-)

Excellent as always, thank you….one question : the fact that only VHF was affected by the Fet failure means that UhF and 1200 were using different Fets ? Being certified up to 2/2.5 GHz I thought that all three band were using the same amplifier section…

Hi Peter, do you use an active probe for the SA?… i have troubles on some RF circuits do to capacitance of probe changing the tuning of RF transformers! Have just ordered a cheap Ukrainian active probe to help sort problem. Would appreciate your advice. Another great repair video, I am learning much from these 👏

IC-9100 doesn't have pre amps for 2M, 70cm & 23cm so it should be a bit deaf.

@@karlbesser1696 doch, genau messen kann man das schon auf diese Art, das macht ja ein CMT oder CMS auch nicht anders, schade, daß es das SinadMessgerät als Bausatz beim Funkamateur(oder war es DARC) nicht mehr gibt, da müsste mal was äuquivalentes her.. 73
