2JZ Turbo Lexus: First Track Day of the Year!

6 жыл бұрынC3Garage Media. This was the first track day of 2018 at Bandimere Speedway. Test and Tune with my 2JZ NA-T Lexus IS300. At only 5psi currently. It was a good time but I didnt run very well, having launch issues with traction problems. Tubro still runs great, gonna turn it up soon.

If u can afford it definitely some drag radials and would love to see u turn it up. Great video brother, love seeing the drag strip. Thanks for sharing

Are you still on stock internals? I have pretty much the same set up you do (AEM Inf 6, 525cc inj, same CXRacing GT35r, BC264 cams, internal fuel return, plus water/meth) only with the A650e auto w/ external trans cooler. I dyno'd at 334rwhp/278rwtq. I am on a super safe tune by arguably one the best tuners in the Supra community (Vlad at National Speed, Wilmington, NC). Are you still on the stock internals?!? I have been keeping up with your vids for about the past 2 years and see you doggin' on your ride pretty hard.

Wow only 280cc that's tiny. I've been looking for cheaper alternatives to the native Haltech, which seems too dear for a budget turbo. Will check out your earlier videos.

14.8 with a turbo... What sort of slow ass slug did I just buy?

Dodgy Brothers thanks for the positive comment. Actually my previous times are avg. 14.1. See my other videos. We are at a mile high so we run about a second lower than sea level. Also I have my turbo turned way down to 5psi to be safe for drifting. I am gonna turn it up soon and see what it really can do. Also i was having issues with my launches either too much or to little boost. This was just for fun.

I wasn't really commenting how fast your car is (although relatively it is), it was more a comment on how slow mine is. I just bought an IS300 a few weeks ago and I would have thought that they would have run 14's as a NA, but seeing you are only running high 14's with a turbo, it would appear I was overly optimistic on how fast an NA one was. Some searching tonight revealed that 15.5 - 16.5 is probably far more realistic for an NA model. Which to be honest is terribly disappointing considering my bike runs 10's.
