I was feeling 6.4 exhaust manifolds, 6.4 cam, 6.4 intake, and a 100 shot of nitrous. Nice so far though.

Overload springs probably were flipped for better weight transfer for drag racing at the track , those springs put back together with overloads back to proper way may still be good for someone that doesn’t carry any loads !! Could sell them John . Transmission came out nice after you stripped paint off it looks way better now!! Im very curious how thats going to be for rpm wise at highway speeds with jus a 3 speed 727 trans ? Unless it has 355 gears an not the 392 maybe it be ok but … It was really nice to see the track runs you did with the hellcat truck nice to see you outa the shop for a change need more videos outa the shop once an while 😁 Im enjoying this sst build very much !! 👍

They flipped the springs to allow the springs to squat for drag racing.

I know a few of us would flip the overload when we lowered those dodge's back in the early 2000's to soften the ride

I've had great results with stock 392 manifolds on 5.7 Trucks. If you're not going max effort, they are great over the expense for headers. Just a thought.

Yes I have a 95 and is still going after 28 years of driving I just changed the timing chain because it was making noise rattling I made the work my self and is so easy todo mechanical work they have a lot of room to work on

Need to get a small sandblaster for some of your smaller jobs removing paint. Trans definitely needs painted either black or the same blue as the stripes.

You should change the steering to a 3rd gen rack/pinion. So much better with minimal effort. That way you have plenty of room for your ac compressor.

SS/T really didn't have anything special from the factory. It was mainly an appearance package. The only add ons from the factory that was different from other 94-01 rams was a muffler and tailpipe, as well as the wheels and stripes. No suspension differences. Looking forward to more videos. I starting to lean towards swapping a hemi into my 98 SS/T.

I have a 97 2wd and a 6.4 waiting and watching.

I think you should keep the factory wheels just to keep the original look.

Can you start out with naturally aspirated performance mods for those of us who want be able to afford turbo charger, or a supercharger setup? Will you put an engine oil cooler system on it as well? I think that is always a good idea when doing these type of mods, you are able to run extra amounts of oil, 😃 it’s kinda like an insurance policy. I know Holley has some of that stuff. ❤ the work!

Should run a 6.4l truck intake , they flow better and swap to a 6.4l factory camshaft . Cheap power and factory parts

There are 2 kinds of 727's. Internal or external balanced, done with the flywheel. Do you know which one you have? I went through that headache with my 68 charger.
