The problem with fermented foods like Sauerkraut & Kimchi etc is that they are high in histamines and not good for people with MCAS (Mast Cell Activiation Syndrome). Also people with long COVID are usually impacted by histamines causing fatigue to worsen.

This was very good information I have overall good health , I had a llq discomfort past few months couldn’t find the underline cause felt Like GI , start upping my probiotic intact , it zapped it away completely something was imbalanced

I have had digestive issues for past year half just came on me really out the blue. Gurgling noises and gas with jelly mucus. Awful. Doctors said ibs or maybe colitis but never was diagnosed. I cut gluten wheat and dairy and started a very high quality probiotic. Ive been better for 3 months so yes the probiotics have helped me for sure. I must have had very bad imflammation inside

Hey Javier, thanks for writing in and great question! As of now, there is no general guideline for probiotics which carries over into food recommendations. So in terms of sauerkraut consumption, have as much as you'd like as it's a pretty low-calorie/nutritious food anyway! -The FFP Team
