Don't drive in the tracks drive on the uncompacted snow. that's what the dip stick is for too much oil can damage your engine

Also, no point in checking the oil when the engine is warm as it's all through the engine doing it's job.

@@pamiam9017 depends on the vehicle some say cold engine. I seen others that say warm engine and check after 5 mins. Best to check the manual for the specifics.

Melt snow to get water, then wash dishes & clean teeth, we dont have mains water at home, so in winter if our pipes freeze we melt the snow xx

Consider making a small, mechanic section, for small repairs and fixes for engine and wheels..ect.

loving the series, make sure you check the oil level with the dipstick though as overfilling can be as bad as not enough. Good luck with the rest of the trip ❤

Get a friend to show you basic vehicle maintenance - oil and other fluids, tyre pressure and condition, wipers etc. Check every few days. Buy some oil in a motor factors and keep it with you (if it's thirsty like some old diesel engines) to save motorway prices. Preventative maintenance is sensible when you're doing long trips. Have it serviced once a year or every 10k by a trusted garage or friend.

Mate check your oil with the dip stick regularly before a long journey. That small bottle of oil is not enough to fill that up. You will wreck you engine, when the oil pressure light comes on damage is already taking place.

From the UK here. Had a few chats with US friends, One could not understand why you should pay any taxes at all! LOL Believe it or not, taxes pay for good things like Buses and Trams 😁(locally in Cities anyway)

Dipstick? Literally, dipstick! It uses 5w30 fully synthetic oil. Check underneath for leaks as well but find your dipstick and make sure your up near the top Max mark

make sure you check the oil dip stick check out how much is in your engine when you take it out should be marked min and max make sure you have not over filled it just giving you a tip

Hey mate, there's a thing called a dipstick that tells you how much oil you have. Putting in too much oil will bugger your engine too, so either find out where your dipstick is & learn how to use it or turn back for home before you ruin your van in a foreign country.

As someone thats driven escooter around london, holy moly those roads 17:44 look mortifying to drive a scooter on. After a few hours I'd break all my fingers and knees if the escooter didnt have top of the line suspension.

I travelled with the camper in Germany and usually those campsites are 13/14€ or the public ones (which I prefer) or only 7€ for a night not that expensive for feeling safe (as a female solo traveller). I love travelling in Germany with the van because those public wohnmobil Stellplatz are excellent and cheap. I recommend esp the ones around Ulm!

Nah! Use the virgin snow, better grip! And use the dipstick every day, specially abroad. Belgium is the best, very friendly and by far the best beer.

I can assure you that we weren’t! They would of been seriously burnt if they had got that cap off , the reason why they didn’t get it off straight away was because the pressure that was built up init was immense. Will needs to know the basic’s of his van before he wrecks it before he even gets to use it properly.

If you have a choice, always drive on fresh snow & NOT in the tracks which are compacted snow. Reason being, the uncompressed snow gets stuck in the tyre tread which then gives you better grip. All season & mud and snow tyres are designed to trap the snow in the tread for this reason. Try this experiment if you don't believe me, get two snow balls and try to twist them together.

Being as that is your home you really need to check your engine fluids regularly, that's what the dipstick is for, as two much oil is as bad as no oil... Good episode.👍

Hey Will , Wallace. You should go to Chamonix , take a cable car up the mountain & walk down the Mer de Glasse (sea of ice ) glassier. You can actually walk inside a live moving glacial monument. It's amazing ! M
