I always wonder why people do these silly lists of a video, especially one of such great importance. It's in the actual listening, absorption can have its place. No one on the planet truly seeking to be successful needs your shortcut. You waisted your time doing it and the growth of others who read it without listening to the valuable advice provided by the speaker.

I browse down to these comments to get some context, but for most of the time, to get a summary for videos longer than 10 minutes. Not that I don't watch long videos, but there's just a lot of backlog on my watchlist that breakdowns make the quality check on videos easier for me to decide. On critical thinking... One of the things I started doing over the past couple years was: after cooking my own dinner, sitting down to eat that dinner with zero distractions - no phone, no book, no television, no company - just the food and my thoughts. The activity of consuming the food helps pass the time, and the silence allows you to process your own thoughts.

@@Autonomous_Don You can quit bro I used to be in the exact same position and my life is so much better now that im sober. Im at a point now where I truly don't even desire smoking I let myself break sobriety once every month just so I don't feel like im missing out but when I do it often makes me appreciate being sober. Ultimately what has worked for me is the idea of keeping it out of sight out of mind. Doing that means not having any and if you dont have it dont think about it. If you find yourself thinking about it and cant stop have something that you decide to do instead for me that was meditating. When I was first trying to start I had trouble going for a full month it took me a few attempts to be where I am now. Itss definately possible to quit cold turkey so dont make ecuses for yourself but if you find it too hard then start with smaller intervals of sobriety. You could start with only smoking after 8pm then move to only smoking on weekends then move to once a month. Trust me that through doing this you will be much happier. You should also work to removing any other forms of cheap dopamine to help with your ADHD. I think peope largely are resposible for their own ADHD and while some may be genetic I think thats largely an excuse for most people. I used to supposedly have ADHD but I realized it was actually that I was just addicted to cheap dopamine. Ive never met someone who had ADHD that wasnt also addicted to their phones, videogames, or some other cheap dopamien source. For me quitting that was the cure to my ADHD and I think it would be the cure for most if not all people with ADHD. Search up "Dopamine Detoxing" for more information on how to fix your brains dopamine reward system.

I turn 41 next week. I have spent a lot of time this year contemplating my future. For the first time ever I have felt the ticking clock looming over me. I didn't think I wanted to be rich, just comfortable, and for the last 5 years I have been. My seventeen year military career was ended by injury and now I run a small business from home. It was great to start with, no more answering to anyone! But now I realise it’s not enough, and I need to do more, or my life will just be over before I know it. I have taken an important step today and started to document and plan rather than just think. My goals, my finances, my bad habits are getting addressed. Your videos have helped my train of thought so thank you.

Hi Anthony, This is definitely not a coincidence and it's true when they say that everything happens for a reason! Just met your channel and I've subscribed to your channel. The title of your video "These 3 daily habits made me a millionaire in 3 years" drew my attention. I've watched it till the end and though I'm not a millionaire yet 😊, I caught myself following these 3 habits as a daily routine. All you said makes sense and if people could just focus on their goal with a clear mind, determination, hard work, faith, self confidence, and visualization of their goal, it's just a matter of time you meet success! And as We Greek people say "God helps those who help themselves"!!

Brilliant! Just absolutely brilliant! This is by far one of the best Millionaire Habits videos I've seen. Anthony distilled three powerful words that very few people use in their vocabulary, which is "clarity of thought". I've been struggling in the past few weeks to focus and remain consistent with my habits, hence falling back on my goals. This video made me realize how to pick out the most essential things that need my attention, and ruthlessly eliminate all the other non-essentials. Thanks Anthony for sharing your wisdom! Subscribed. Really appreciate your insights and advice. I'm a small business owner, my dad gave me the business in 2012 and it's been a *constant* struggle. I know that I'm capable of being a millionaire, but clearly need to make other pursuits. After 10 years, the small business has grown, yet it's still an insanely difficult business to run, we barely hang on each month and I don't have much money myself personally... in fact I'm 67k in personal debt and 183k in business debt. Been in a dark place with my thoughts lately.... but ready to stop feeling sorry for myself and start being proactive. Thinking about either starting a new business or some kind of side hustle for nights and weekends... possibly even selling the small business so that I can pursue more profitable endeavors. It's a very challenging time for me right now so guidance like yours means a lot.
@AnthonyVicino

Sounds like you've been struggling for a long time. I'm curious, what type of business is this? My initial thought (knowing nothing of your situation, so take this with a grain of salt), is that something isnt working. If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll get the same results. This could be a function of your industry, market, skills, or systems. I have no way of knowing which, but one thing is for certain...a pivot is required. Might only be a small pivot. Then again, could be a massive pivot. Hard to say with the the limited information I have.

@@AnthonyVicino Thank you so much for the reply. The business is a specialty book publishing company - specializing in signed limited edition hardcovers with 99.9% of the business being conducted through an e-commerce website. It also operates as a specialty retailer - offering signed limited edition hardcovers and special products from other publishers in the same industry. A big part of the problem is that these books are very expensive to produce and unless the author is Stephen King, they often do not sell out. So you pay the printers and binders for 200 to 500 copies of this book to be produced, only sold half of that print run then end up sitting on inventory that to move you have to discount or include in grab bags/bundles. When ordering these limited edition hardcovers from other publishers, the retailer discount is typically around 30% which doesn't give a lot of breathing room for profit. With offset printers becoming more rare, material prices and shipping costs continually going up, paper shortages... the future prospects for the industry aren't exactly inspiring. However, the business definitely has its "niche" and it is a specialized industry without too much competition. The biggest challenge and expense is the cost of producing/purchasing the products, having them shipped to our fulfillment office, then inspecting/sorting/doing inventory, then packing the orders for those products with bubble wrap into boxes, then paying for the shipping labels... the shipping/logistics portion of the business is a huge effort and is the main reason why it's so financially difficult. Unfortunately, there's not really a way around it. We've tried using Amazon Fulfillment for some of our own published products with pretty good success which definitely saved time and hassle by getting the products shipped directly from the printer/binder to Amazon, but that's not really possible for products from other publishers unless we use a middleman company who would pack the units and send them to Amazon for us, but because these specialty products are typically in smaller quantities (anywhere from 10 to 500 units) having another company doing the packing/logistics for us adds so much to the cost per unit that it basically evens out. I've been struggling to think of a better way to handle the logistics/fulfillment side of the business and that's definitely a significant source of the challenges in our business.

You're giving excellent and actionable content. The information you provide resonates and strikes me as accurate. I believe the most critical advice from this clip is the doing. So many people "learn" but never "earn" because they "see" but never "be" - they "know" but never "show." It's so important to take action, even when you don't have all the pieces of the puzzle, because opportunities vanish and "paralysis by analysis" is real. Learn enough to take your first step and then your second, third, fourth, etc. Learn, then do. Learn how to solve either immediate or inevitable problems first and solve those problems - then proceed to learn how to solve the problems that come after those problems. This was my takeaway from your clip, but I wanted to stress the importance of "doing." Your mind may change from information, but only action will change your life.

That consume less, create more point was my favorite...even though the wife and I don't follow it. We consume a lot, sadly. I typically don't like these "how to get rich" videos but yours does tend to be on a different note. I think an important aspect that is often missed (coming from my own success) is that reaching a target "wealth" goal is unreasonable. Not everyone can be a millionaire. I, myself, would love to have that much money. But we decided we'd prefer to just make enough to do whatever we want to do (within reason). The "just enough" lifestyle allows us to not live paycheck to paycheck, take trips whenever and wherever we want, pay for contractors to remodel our house after we fail trying DIY, have decent vehicles and other materialistic things, and enjoy several hobbies to keep our idle hands busy if we desire. Of course I can't go out and buy my dream car BUT I can take a trip to Las Vegas and drive it or any other exotic car anytime I want. More life less work for me.

For me, a severe case of childhood PTSD was only uncovered and understood after a series of adult traumas. A social failure precipitated a nervous breakdown which began a healing journey of introspection. A business bankruptcy shocked me into becoming a prolific saver. A recent loss of employment has put me on a path toward a new business venture. Sadly, it took these 'negative' events to change the course of my life in a very positive way!

Great video Anthony! I hope you keep at it and dig deeper. Presenting a series of tips that have been tried and tested is all well and good, but _why_ these three, and, say, not four or five or one? Is there an intrinsic connection between these three? I think pursuing those questions we then get to the nuts and bolts of reality. By the way, re "consume less, create more" mantra, I've always found this quote by Benjamin Frankling very illuminating: "Many a man thinks he is buying pleasure, when he is really selling himself to it." Thanks again Anthony!

Great question, Filip. Truthfully, we could go a whole lot deeper on this topic, but it's just not viable given the format and medium of KZfaq videos. We're launching a daily podcast next month called Beyond the Apex, which will allow us to go into way deeper detail for those interested. Also, here's a shameless plug, I'm working on a book and a course (Hyperfocus Mastery) which will go way deeper into this topic as well. The book will launch in late 2023, but we're working on the videos for the course as we speak, so hoping to have that out in the next month or so. If you're a passionate student of this world, that might be something worth checking out. Otherwise, we're gonna continue trying to pump out high quality videos for free on this channel, so stick with us as we'll keep going deeper in deeper into this topic and more over the coming year. Thanks for the feedback, Filip. P.S. Love me a good Benjamin Franklin quote!

Really appreciate your authentic content. I was also diagnosed with ADHD (for me quite late in life) so it's SO very encouraging to be exposed to successful people like you. Fortunately for me, I love reading, love journaling and love learning. My problem has been, my entire life when I think about it, that I want to learn EVERYTHING, all at once. And it's been a journey of nothing ever really sticking in terms of manifesting the life I want. I'm finally getting a grip.

Hello Anthony, it's the second video i am watching of you and my second comment. It's seems like you are very activ even in the comment section on KZfaq. Thanks for your time. Here my question, I have a 40-50 hour job in this moment I need to take care of my family. I am learning a lot from YT, listening to Audibooks or Podcast. I am writing nearly daily in a book by hand, playing music.... But i still don't know how to make or start making money outside the job. I feel ready to start, but don't know what. In this year I've improved my English a lot and my mindset ... Okay a lot of "I" but honestly I am hoping to get some new and fresh advices from you.

Thank you for posting this insightful video! The point you made about how the vast majority of people consume rather than create is spot on. Personally, I have found myself guilty of falling into that trap and consuming instead of creating. It is interesting that these habits can work together or against each other. For example, learning is a great habit but if someone spends too much time reading and forgets to take action, then the learning goes to waste. I am going to focus on the habit of taking action and use the habit of learning to create something of value.
@AnthonyVicino
@AnthonyVicino Жыл бұрын
You nailed it on the head, Jacob. The beauty of these habits is that they create a virtuous cycle. The more you learn, the more you have to think on and ultimate do. Also, we all fall into the consumption trap. The key is to recognize we've fallen in and then make a conscious decision to get out! Thanks for being here, Jacob!
