Assuming the property you sub lease is not furnished that would also be an upfront expense. Much cheaper to furnish an apartment than a house.

The long term revenue potential is greater in homes than in apartments, but yes you are correct that it will typically cost more to furnish a home rather than an apartment.

The biggest issue now seems to be the restrictions that are swiftly being added by city councils or apartment boards about short term rentals. I am seeing a lot of STRs restrictions now like minimum of a week or a month.

With Jorge’s info, I’m going to figure legal ways to move forward with my AirBNB business. Employers impose restrictions, protocols, and guidelines-and we follow suit. However, when it is time to branch out-we see all the obstacles. Nothing worth having is easy. Work is hard, entrepreneurship is hard-choose your hard…
