Pilots have been under a lot of stress of late and the real reasons for that are multiple. With the death of 3 pilots over the last 2 days, concerns have been raised over the fatigue levels of the pilots and how safe is it for the passengers to be flying on a airplane sitting behind a tired pilot.
In this video, I share all the factors affecting the lives of pilots, from FDTL to excessive sectors to multiple aircraft changes.

Baiyya I am still in class 9 I was confused between doctor or pilot. After watching your videos I got clarity that how satisfying and beautiful life a person gets after being a pilot. Especially while in the cocpet at nights. Always go with your interests❤

Unbelievable.Glad you brought this up. Hope your airline does not penalise you like what happened to flyingbeast. Can all this lead to mistakes due to pilot fatigue? Is our FDTL the same as the west?

Hi Everyone here is teenager who doing 12 or cpl training or planing He or she think it nice job i also think it But i now understand how hard it is life of a airline pilot That why pilot have 2 to 4 lakh salary But every job have stress train yourself train your mind Human life we get only one time or i don't no hiw many time but to be a pilot it great job every i think . Well, previously, I thought the pilot job was pretty cool and interesting. But after watching your videos, I got to know the reality. It is actually an exhausting and tiresome job. I'm glad to have a small-scale job with no additional burden on my physical or mental health. Anyway, I hope you get enough money from this job. Keep grinding on, because with great hands comes great responsibility.😅

I think this issue was raised by Gaurav Taneja regarding pilot fatigue while he was denied sick leave by Air Aisa. Pilots are made to fly for more hours by airline companies. Hopefully now DGCA identify this problem in system.

Pilots fly for longer hours than FDTL and get minimum rest. Somewhere pilot shortage is a contributing factor to this. Because many times replacement pilots are not available before flight, the same pilot who has flown last night has to fly in the same day. Also, many pilots might have high levels of caffine (tea and coffee) addiction which deteoriates health problems in the long run.

Even I'm doing the rotating shift job, it's hectic our shifts changes every 2 days. And somedays we have to do even a 16 hr shift. But the only thing is we are not responsible for these many lives, we are just operating a processing unit.

I have flown on domestic flights with DGCA rules...and i think i got older faster than i should have doing 4 crew operations back to back on 4 sectors nearly everyday....thank God i did EASA and only fly 70 hrs a month with 15 days on and 15 days off... i am now 42 and still flying as a flight attendant due to this reason. Indian Aviation should think about prelongating careers of their staff too..after all we are well trained and get global exposure, why loose us to fatigue???? Indian systems have no respect for human beings as a resource...they will keep managing an maintaining aircrafts but keep loosing manpower ...which should be the primary resource in a service industry. If Pilot fatigue is real, can you imagine the fatigue of cabin crew?? Dealing with varied kinda people and have very little control over external factors...and physical fatigue to just name a few.... and then to look amazing in heals....like unreal 😅

He didn't tell us the fact that they are put up in best of the hotels and paid hefty amount of money which is impossible to get in Government job or private ones for that matter given the hours they work for...Having worked for a national carrier i can vouch for one thing ..Airlines job as a pilot is the most rewarding one , just that u get spoiled in short span of time with plenty of money and limited exposure to hardships of life

It's not that easy as well. Low-cost airline pilots have a very demanding job, considering the fact that their turnaround time is very limited. Please don't forget pilots even work on holidays, whereas government officers and corporate professionals enjoy their holidays, so there is nothing to be envious of about their hefty paychecks and hotel stays, and don't forget that pilots have to slog out badly during their training. It's very easy for people to comment but being a pilot requires a lot of mental strength.

In what sense do pilots slog....IATA and ICAO has made provisions for stress free work profile....You have mandatory rest period and duty time limitations...so that dont get fatigued....other than CPL DGCA doesn't even ask for a degree...Given their education and work profile don't u think they are over paid...As far as holidays and leave pattern of government officers/ men is concerned they are compensated for low paycheck...How come u conveniently forgot to mention about sick leave, 30 days of Privilege leave and 8 days of casual leave that most of the airlines offer

@@rajshekharr.1779 Oh is it, what about Job Security, if airlines run into losses many airlines trim their network and aircraft as a result pilots get laid off as well, moreover pilots operate in multiple time zones jet lag can take a tool on anyone's health, even during flight as well there are multiple factors that pilots have to consider especially during Turbulence and even when they are landing during heavy cross winds or Tail winds it requires a lot of training
